What are my chances for a GV at 7 mos mark?

Hey All
We are thinking of going to WDW in oct 2024 with group of 8
I know that’s a ways off but we are trying to think ahead
We would be using points to book

So, what’s our chances of getting a GV anywhere at 7 mos for Oct? Anybody who can share personal experiences with this or anyone who has charts showing this, I sure would appreciate that feedback

Best shot is at Saratoga Springs, but even there it can be tricky, especially depending on when in October.

Dates near Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day are highly likely to be missing. Around Halloween proper can also be a bit hit or miss.

I was trying for this at AKL and it was possible. Halloween and the Columbus Day holiday are going to be tough.

I'd book a 2BR and a studio anyway, after the way my last attempt at a big group went.

Excellent suggestion, because 7 months to arrival allows plenty of time for financial reversals or other reasons people might cancel.

Easier to salvage points with two villas unless you don't mind rattling about in spacious luxury if all but 2 or so cancel.

I was able to get a three bedroom at Animal Kingdom for months out. Which really surprised me at the time. I would still book a two bedroom studio just to be safe and then call first thing in the morning when it’s your date. Good luck
