game of cards you played with someone (no solitaire or computer, got to be cards) I would guess it would have been Rummy 500 when I was like 12-13 , WOW

see the pattern, anymore cards is most often played between parent and child, you know thats a good way to spend time with them
True. It's not like I'd ever phone a friend to invite them over for a game of cards. I'm not a fan of card games in general.

A few weeks ago my cousin and his family came over to play Dutch Blitz. It is a seriously intense, fast paced game that threatens to ruin friendships and destroy familial bonds. Clearly I didn't win.

Spoons with my kids tonight. And they are vicious little boogers when it comes to snatching up those spoons.

I regularly play duplicate bridge. I went to a Regional Tournament in Arizona last month and in August I will be participating in the North American Bridge Championships in Chicago.

Probably the same game at the same age. I don't like playing cards.

Does Black Jack in Vegas count? If not, probably 30 years ago in high school. Every Study Hall was Rummy 500 or Hearts. Played Uno with my kids when they were little

Spoons with a group of friends a couple of years ago. We stopped having those get togethers which is probably the only reason I still have all my fingers today.

Last month on the Magic, Euchre with DH, my brother and SIL. In 20 some odd years it was the first time my brother and I were partners! We usually play couple v couple or girls v guys.

Continental Rummy Last week while we were staying at the Treehouse Villas with dear friends. Takes awhile to play but great fun with a group.

I can't remember how long ago... has been a few years, but CANASTA!

We also enjoy UNO on the occasions we have time to play it.

Thanks for the reminder... we should do this tomorrow night with the boys!

Last weekend I played Pounce with a friend, her daughter and a couple of my kids. If you don't know that game, I suggest you learn it if you like solitaire and a fast paced game. It is basically solitaire with a group. All the Aces go in the middle and you all can build on each others aces. The first person to get rid of their flip pile yells pounce and gets 20 extra points. All cards in the middle count for points, any cards remaining in a player's flip pile count against you. I've been playing this since I was a little girl and now my kids love to play.

Thanks for the tip. I just went on Amazon and read reviews and bought the Regular set for 4 players and the expansion pack that allows for more players.

We usually play one team per deck which allows 8 of us to play but causes tensions to run even higher. :) we all have to agree that any harsh words said during the game doesn't apply afterwards
