Not necessarily. You need to check and see which of your restaurant choices offer a DVC discount. The DVC discount you would receive has to factor into the equation, as well. Just for a quick example, if you chose all restaurants that offered a 10% DVC discount, then your break-even point would double to $1500, since TiW would only afford you a 10% discount over what you could get without paying for TiW.

There are restrictions on when you can use the DVC discount (some places only offer it at lunch) and it doesn't include alcohol (TiW discounts alcohol, it can also be used at the lounges at the deluxe resorts.) Here's a good comparison chart:

Yes, I'm aware of all of that. I was simply suggesting to consider all the variables.

TiW has blackout dates as well.

I figured you knew all that, I was posting for the OP who was trying to decide if TiW was right for them. I don't think I was telling them to NOT consider the variables, I was merely putting forth the rest of the variables.

Thanks everyone you need a PH.D. In dining LOL. We leave tomorrow so no black out dates. Usually it's a no brainier for us , there's usually 5 of us traveling and we take 2 trips in a year. But my oldest started playing high school football ( no offense but the commitment level is NFL ish. Two practices a day ... Mandatory.. Very competitive) so he and DH are staying home. High School very tough academically so no trips during school,year. And I have two more right behind him. It's tough being a grown up
