What am I missing here...how am I saving this much

This may be a dumb question but I really can't figure this out. This seems to good to be true.

I called about the SC resident disount....then was told to look around and maybe find a better discount. So I used the one on the webiste.....it was QXG.

It was a savings of $892. How can that be?

My total when I did it online myself at rack rate was $3427.

When I called and had them apply the code it dropped to $2535.

Am I missing something right in front of my face? I have a feeling that I am b/c how in the world would I save that much?

They are deeply discounting the rooms. Do you have a deluxe resort and how many days? I would just make sure that you have everything that you had before (tickets/DDP)

I do have a deluxe room. Its at the Wilderness Lodge. I just checked my reservation email....it has everything on there.

Then it is the discount. There was an AP discount for Sept 28 for 4 days for 159/night and 205/night for the next 2 days. I checked it out because WL is my favorite. Just too high for us to pay now. Have a great time. Tomorrow there is a free dining offer with the Disney Visa as well. Supposedly there will be free dining and about a 20% discount on rooms according to Mousesavers.com. I'm going to check out to see if it's worth it for us to try to change our reservaton. We currrently have ASMu for 54/night, but if they are giving a 20% discount as well as the free dining, it might be worth it to change if we can.

When is your trip? We live in SC and will also be going in December and staying at WL. We are booked right now with the AAA rate and I'm wondering if this SC resident rate would be better?? So, you did or did not use the SC resident rate to get your discount?

I'm not sure if I can even call Disney to ask since I booked through a AAA agent...

ETA: Disney Visa discount sounds awesome but it won't work for our dates.

No,they are exactly the same. I double and triple checked everything and its all the same except for the price.

I am not complaining and am over the moon excited. But it feels too good to be true.

I did the same thing today and am stil on

2 adults 1 child
9 nights at POFQ / 10 Day PH / Basic Dining
The code saved me almost $900

I had the Disney Travel Rep repeat my package details to me about 3 times And then confirmed it with my reservation email.

I am wayyyyyyyyy confused ----- I am from South Carolina - Staying at Wilderness Lodge --- I got my rev. through Disney -- using a Pin code that was e- mailed to me --- Should I call to give them the QXG (or is that a Visa thing) I have pd for my trip in full already ???? Please help me understand all this ???

It can't hurt. My trip was booked without any other codes or pins, so I don't know how much more a code could save over using a pin.
