I have decided to ship myself a box of things to the POP via Fed Ex. I am terrified of having my luggage lost which is the biggest reason. So far I have these things on the list but if anyone could add anything or give a suggestion I would appreciate it.

Plastic bowls, spoons, knives & cups
Toiletries (in case luggage is lost)
1 outfit per person
Bottle of Rum :)
Febreeze
Snacks
Breakfast Items (suggestions here would be great, I will have a toaster & fridge)
- cereal, jelly, crystal light, diet pepsi, pop tarts, granola bars, bread & capri suns

How about:

rain ponchos
stroller rain cover (if you're bringing a stroller) or Neat Sheet
toilet seat covers (for the kids while in the parks)
clorox wipes (for wiping down the room)
Purell (for the parks)
small pump hand soap (I hate using the little bar soaps for hand washing...too messy)
Ziplocs
sunscreen
Shout stain stick
First aid supplies
bag for the park (if you're not carrying it on the plane)

We ship a box to the WL every year, and will be doing it again this year. So helpful. Have fun packing!

We order a case of water from Garden Grocer so we have water to bring into the parks every day. You can also ship water from Staples or Costco.

If you are flying - what about some gum for the trip home :goodvibes

Decorations for the room/door/windows
I'm shipping a collapsable cooler too that will hang from the stroller with ice and water (also good for some snacks)
don't forget P-butter/jelly!
I also put in:
clothes-pins/laundry bag
Sunscreen
Aloe vera/lidocaine
First aid supplies
Hair gel/sprays
sewing kit
Freed up a whole suitcase!

If you plan on doing any laundry--soap and dryer sheets. Paper towels (folded) for the room since you are planning to eat in the room. Have a wonderful trip.

can of lysol. Shoe organizer to put all your little things in and hang from closet rod.

Why would you need to decoarate the room and windows since you will be spending most of the time at the parks

Why are you shipping anything? I have been to WDW several times and have never shipped anything. What's the point? I don't get it.

We always ship a box ahead.. with breakfast items, shampoo and stuff we will use for the week and not need to bring home.... takes up less room in the suitcase... we plan on having breakfast in the room each morning as we have done for many trips... works great... also ship snacks that we can toss into our backpack to bring into the park for when we are in line and just need a little something..

I think all the suggestions so far are great...right on target with what we bring.... don't forget the power strip for all those phones and electronics!!!

I guess it depends from where you are sending but about how much do you spend on shipping when you mail all that stuff?

My box is normally between $10 and $15... I go right on the UPS sight and determine how long the shipping will be and send it so that it arrives the day we get there... there is a UPS store by my office so its really easy for me...

Hello,

I plan on bringing/sending some hats, autograph book and for food some PB or cheese crackers, granola bars, muffins, oodles of noodles, easy mac, poptarts. Just some easy things to eat at the resort so I don't spend tons of money on all that. I also plan on sending a case of water (w/ crystal light packs) there. Hope this helps!

Instead of shipping platic bowls why not paper one.Are you renting a car when you arrive at the airport,if so than dont need to ship ahead of time you can just stop at Walmart

We shipped stuff last year and it was awesome!

We are planning on shipping again this year - but I forget how to word the label.

Can someone give me the template

It's something like

DISNEY'S POP CENTURY RESORT
C/O MYFIRST AND LAST NAME
ADDRESS
LAKE BUENA VISTA , FL -----

PLEASE HOLD FOR ARRIVAL DATE OF --/--/----

Is that right?

No car for us, I hate driving in places I have never been. Since it is just me and my daughter and our first big trip all by ourselves we are using ME. That way we don't end up lost (which happens even in the town I live in:confused3). I got onto the FedEx website and it will be about $14 to ship the box. I am scared of lost luggage because this is my first time with layovers and switching airplanes when traveling and one of my layovers is only 36 minutes, it seems likely to me that my luggage might not arrive when I do. And I am taking this precaution to make sure that it wouldn't ruin our trip.

Keep it coming guys, I get on everyday and look at this thread and end up adding more stuff to the box! I am 10 days away from the trip and am bursting I am so excited :cheer2:
