Agree with this.
AND Disney uses the word "view" very loosely - it doesn't really mean a view as in what you see, it means the direction that your room faces. That can be very disappointing if you book for a visual view. I once booked pool view at AKL and had no view of the pool at all, my view was the tops of the roofs of the restaurants ... but my room faced the courtyard the pool was in, so technically it was.
At POP I always ask for Lake View. There I do get the benefit of looking at the lake, day or night, and agree it was nice to be what I see coming in and out. Another advantage of that view is that it is very very quiet back there. And being strategic in what you pick you can avoid other views, if fulfilled and side benefits.
The problem with booking specifically for view is that if you don't understand "view" in Disney speak, you may be very disappointed. I booked POFQ water view after having stayed at AKL. I really did not realize the whole exterior corridor thing and that water is water. Now I know, so I don't bother with the "view" in regards to the mods. I tend to think about location. For a POFQ stay I choose a building as a request and skip all others. I do understand why some folks will request and pay for a view, but I think that what "view" means at a moderate or value resort can be a tad misleading.
or potentially five if you count other floors.
