It's been a long time since we've flown and I'm all about saving money. Can you take a pack-n-play along with your luggage on the airplane? This would save me the rental fee of renting one when we get to PC. Also what kind of food have you packed in your suitcase? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

where are you staying? I think that Disney resorts offer pack & plays for free (we got one for free a few years ago when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge)

Are you sure there is a fee to rent one? I have traveled to WDW with my children many times, staying at all different level resorts, and they always ask if I need a pack n play and have brought it to the room with no charge. My youngest is 4 now, so I haven't used one in a couple of years. Is the charge a new thing?

As far as food goes, I usually bring cereal, plastic bowls and spoons, and some snacks for the room with no problems. I don't attempt to pack liquids - I buy those at WDW.

I didn't realize that they didn't charge for pack-n-plays. That will really be less of a hassle. Thanks for the info. What about taking food in suitcases? I'm just talking about water and snacks and maybe some sodas.

I'm packing a suitcase that will have just diapers, wipes, snacks, plastic bowls/spoons and some light food items. Then, when all that stuff is used up, I'll have an extra suitcase for souvenirs! Just check with your airline about weight limits - last year we were charges $25 by SW when our luggage was too heavy. DH only wanted to pack 2 suitcases. This year, we're taking 2 big suitcases and 2 small suitcases. Since we're using DME, we don't have to worry about getting them into a rental car or towncar.

This will make my life SO much easier when I really get into packing mode in about a week and a half!
