What age would you let yourself "go gray"

Apparently 62. That's my current age and I recently decided I was done with highlights/lowlights. I doubt I go totally gray; my mom never did. It's a genetic thing. My grandma never got much gray hair either.

I posted on here a couple of years ago that I was "blonde" and I still am. I just can't bring myself to go natural. Every 7-8 weeks I go in to get my blonde on. My mom at 79 isn't 100% gray and neither is my dad also 79, although he's moreso than my mom. Both my sisters also highlight but I'm more blonde than they are. BTW, I'm 56.

I am 53 but if/when my hair starts to turn gray that is how it will stay- not into all that dying commitment stuff! As of now I don't have gray hair yet.

2 years ago, when I posted in this thread I had decided to keep dyeing my hair. (I originally dyed it for fun, now it's to cover gray) A few months later, I was downsized from my job and it is really hard to get a new job when you're older. (it took me more than a year, and that was a temp job that I just got cut from for budget reasons)

So I won't be able to stop until I retire which will probably be when I'm really old.

My cousin is about 3 weeks younger than I am, and she did it quite some time ago. (She lives in London and I'm in NY, so I'm fuzzy on the particulars.) It looks lovely on her.

But I'm not considering it, now or probably ever.
