What age did you stop hiding eggs for Easter?

We haven't stopped yet (maybe this year). My whole family gets together for one day and we color eggs and do an Easter egg hunt (outside if the weather cooperated, inside otherwise). The youngest cousin is now 14, the oldest is 21 (my son). They still have fun with it.

I've never done it. We'd go out for public events, such as at local parks. Once we didn't figure out until Easter Day, and pickings were slim, but we found a park in a nearby city that was doing it. We've also gone to large events. The Dunsmuir-Hellman Estate in Oakland does one every year. They charge for it, but it's not that expensive and usually a much better experience than most free events. The estate is owned by the city of Oakland though, and the proceeds go to several charities.

I don't think they've done it in a while though.

when I am 3 footed

It was said in late lore that Hera or Ares sent the Sphinx from her Aethiopian homeland (the Greeks always remembered the foreign origin of the Sphinx) to Thebes in Greece where she asked all passersby the most famous riddle in history: "Which creature has one voice and yet becomes four-footed and two-footed and three-footed?

oh...I thought at what age do I stop looking for places to hide eggs for the adult children to look for after church for our family reunion gala ....but boy are those golden egg prizes are more expensive then a simple plush bunny.

Our DDs loved to hunt eggs all through college. They'd come home for spring break and they thought it was hilarious to hunt for eggs. Of course it was cash & jewelry by then, but it was fun.

Now we have two DGDs 9 & 10 who still love to hunt for eggs, although the 10 year old insists that we do not have the Easter bunny appear for photos as we have in the past.

We stopped when DD23 moved out about 4 years ago - so my girls were 19 & 14.
We kept doing it because they enjoyed it and every year we made it harder & harder - they loved the challenge.

We've never done it ourselves, just Easter baskets. DD is 23 and she still gets one. 😆
She did egg hunts at parties when she was younger but we never hid them at home.

Zero? I've never seen the allure of egg hunts, and even as a kid the idea of a rabbit leaving eggs made absolutely no sense.

I'm not sure our kids ever participated in one, to tell you the truth. They are all about the "chocolate for breakfast!" experience of the basket, instead. Around the time they turned 7 or so we stopped using baskets and transitioned to gift bags, but at 24 & 14 they still want the chocolate. I make one for DH, too; he has a monster sweet tooth.

I’ll be hiding eggs outside for my 5 kids ages 19 - 25, I told them I wasn’t doing baskets this year, but will put candy in a big bowl, they can take what they want (plus gift cards)? Dd21 asked for extra eggs hidden this year (hard boiled, the kids decorate). It’s funny to watch then run around our yard in their pajamas.

Probably around 10 BUT I have a friend that did that with her teen sons last year and included cash...they were very competitive and looked on and off for hours

I had a few years off where the kids were too big but then the grandkids came along. We have the kids line up youngest to oldest. Give the youngset a min or two, then next , then next. This year I'm writing the kids names on about 1/4 of the eggs, so they can only grab blank eggs AND thier named eggs. Makes the hunt a bit harder and last more than 29 seconds.

DGD is 8 and she still loves it. She hides her brother's(5) eggs and then we watch him,
Then DD hides DGD's eggs and we watch her.
Then they hide them again because they love to hunt

I use to hide chocolate eggs around the house for the kids. Not outside as it's rarely warm enough at this time of year for that.
Stopped one year after we were in Florida over Easter and kids were maybe 9 and 12? Besides we had gotten a puppy and I didn't want him getting the chocolate. We still buy chocolate but just put it on the kitchen table.

Never did an easter egg hunt as a child myself. Never heard of it until I got older.
