What about these pool homes?

I found a website that rents homes at the following places:
Windwood Bay, Legacy Park, and Sandy Ridge. Has anyone heard of these? I'm really leaning towards Windsor Hills from all the good things I've read, but being very unfamiliar with the area, was wondering if anyone knows of these other places.
Thanks

That map says it all! Most people here on the DIS tend to stay at and recommend places that are a lot closer than those you have mentioned.

Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Emerald Island, Indian Creek, those subdivisions / resorts are all very close to WDW as you can see, those you mentioned are probably further away than most would choose to stay at.

Personally I give Windsor Hills a big :thumbsup2 , we loved our 2 vacations there so much we bought a place! We had such a great first trip, we went back a year later (and this was not even in our original plans!), just had one of the best vacations we've had anywhere, EVER!

The resort is just gorgeous and all brand new, the pool / clubhouse area is just incredible, and the homes are beautiful, and it's an incredible value to boot, there's still a lot of "slack" (for lack of a better term) in a lot of people's calendars, since it's so new and people mostly haven't heard of it yet, that you can still find some pretty good deals!

www.windsorhillsrent.com (best site to check!)

Karkar-The places you have listed are on 27 -which -despite what some may think -is not out at the back of beyond. It will take 20 mins or so to get to the park area depending on where you are based and which route you decide to take -and you canb wait on property longer than that to get a bus to a hotel.
Of the 3 Legacy park is the closer -you can cross 27 and use West side Blvd -to get to 192 -then you have a choice of routes depending on where you are going.
People that dismiss areas without even giving them a chance are missing out on beautiful homes and nice communities that are part residential -not all str .Look for the home that has what you need and don't worry too much as to the positiion of whrere it is -they are ALL good.

There are beautiful homes in 3 seperate areas not far from Disney.
27 area
Formosa Gardens area
Poinciana Blvd Area

You will find each has many things to offer. If you like the home, it fits your group, price is great rent it. You will not be sorry that I am sure.

I appreciate the replies. The map was especially helpful. I can't book my late August trip yet as we are still working out some details with schedules. I"ll probably end up having to take whatever is available. Windsor Hills being my first choice.
Thanks again. THhs board is extremely helpful.
