What about the scooter?

For our 1st night we will be staying at BC and Mom is renting a scooter from Apple. Morning of day 2 checking out and heading to VGF. Not going to unpack car first night..... Just the basics. Just dawned on me..... How are we getting scooter to VGF. I'm guessing one of us will take the bus to MK on the scooter and hop on monorail to GF. Is there a better way.

I think that's your best option using Disney Transport. Check the schedule of the Resort Monorail. Normal start-up is 7am, but it's been opening late some days; on those days, there is bus service from MK instead. Also, be sure to tell the bus driver you are going to GF; the bus may be going there after MK.

If you're getting a travel-size scooter, like a Pride Go-Go, you can disassemble it and fit it in the trunk and backseat of most cars. Of course, you'll probably have to make a separate trip if the car is full of luggage.

When are you getting in on the first day? Does she need it the first night or are you getting in late enough that she could do with out it? If so maybe you could have it delivered right to the GF?

She will need it first day. New knee. I'll just send the Fam in the car and I will take a leisurely ride to GF on the scooter

You could also drive the scooter and/or take the boat to HS and grab a bus directly to the GF from there.

I caught some pixie dust, we had one night at the Sports before meeting ds at POR. In the morning my dh rode down to the concierge asking the shortest amount of time to bus, boat, ride over to POR. They hailed a taxi and a voucher to send us on our way.

Not that this is protocol, but it won't hurt in the morning to ask how is the easiest way. The other thing since you won't be unpacked, you could drive and bus the scooter to the park. When you leave just drive and scooter to the resort.
