If they do bring electronic restrictions here that will be a "death" knell for travel. Not sure what most of us business travelers will do, but there is NO way I am giving the TSA and baggage handlers the opportunity to rumage around and find my computer, camera, cell phone etc UNLESS and UNTIL the airlines agree to be responsible for replacing the lost/stolen items.

If cell phones were banned on 09/11/01 we might not have a whitehouse or capitol building.
Banning cell phones reduces security.
The passengers with cell phones found out what was happening - i.e., that planes were flown into the WTC and that their plane was also likely intended to be used as a weapon.disneyldwjr said:Help me here. How did a cell phone help the terrorists MISS the White House and the Capital.
One very gutsy flight crew ditched the plane in PA.
One very stupid terrorist missed the Capital and White House, but, unfortunately hit the Pentagon.
I do agree that banning cell phones, which they have not done yet in the US, would reduce security.
I thought they used personal cell phones.NJBlackBerry said:Interesting concept since cell phones don't work above 1000 ft. in an airplane. I believe they used the in plane airphones that are currently being removed from many aircraft since no one uses them.
