We returned 4/30 and had a great time ! Here is my trip report for anyone who is interested.
Wed. 4/24
- left home around 12:45 for LAG
- parked car at long term parking lot across from LAG
- took car service to JFK ($15 + tip) [no traffic]
- looooonnnngggg lines at Delta and no curbside check-in , but the line did move pretty swiftly
- security was on the ball and seemed to be pretty thorough
- our flight left about 10 minutes late (5:55pm) but managed to arrive early in Orlando (8:20pm)
- Tiffany Towncar was at baggage claim waiting for us
- we then made a grocery stop at Publix near Seaworld
- and finally arrived at ASMu a little before 10:00
- we were assigned room 2657 in the Jazz Inn building #2 - 3rd floor
- I had to call the front desk because our fridge was not in our room and we had groceries we needed to put away . It was brought to our room in about 10 minutes which was great .
- we went to the food court and had pizza and purchased 2 refillable mugs
- finally went to bed around 12:30
Thurs. 4/25
- woke up about 6:00am everyone showered and had breakfast , bagels , poptarts , and coffee and O.J. in our room
- 7:40am we were picked up by Tiffany Towncar and taken to USF/IOA
- purchased our one day two park passes ($69.95ea?) and were first in line at the turnstiles of IOA for opening
- just before park opened Woody Woodpecker and Beetle Bailey came out and interacted with crowd
- when park opened we headed straight to Spiderman and walked right on - great ride !
- we then proceeded to go on Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls , Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges (2x) , Jurassic Park River Adventure , Poseiden's Fury , The Cat In The Hat , and the Caro-seussal before we stopped to have lunch around 1:15
- crowds were not a factor accept at Poseiden's Fury where we waited on line for about an hour !
- left IOA and headed over to USF
- here crowds were more of a factor so we used Universal Express for Kongfrontation , Funtastic World of Hanna Barbera , and Back to the Future
- we were able to walk right on more or less for E.T. , T2-3D , and Twister
- during the course of the day at USF we saw Spongebob , Eliza and Donnie , Tommy and Angelica , Shrek and Lord Farquat , Popeye and Olive , Fred and Wilma , Barney and Betty , Curious George , Crash Bandicott , and Barney (the dinosaur)
- we left USF around 6:45 and returned to ASMu at about 7:05
- the ASMu foodcourt was where we decided to have dinner
- after dinner we went back to our room and the kids changed to go swimming
- everyone took showers and we got to bed before 12:00
More to come soon in part 2 !
