Same for medical personnel who are used to wearing masks (in AC) as part of their job (and who never admit that it took an adjustment period for them too)
I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I do think this is an assumption. DH is in the medical field and he wears a mask (and a face shield and a surgical cap and double gloves and a gown) every day because: 1) It's required; 2) He knows it's what he needs to do to protect his patients and himself. There really hasn't been an "adjustment period" that he's refusing to come clean about: he just did it because it's what needed to be done and he hasn't complained once. Yes, there's AC in his office, but that is pretty much negated by all of the extra layers he has to wear and the strenuous work he's performing. The one point that I can see is that yes, it is part of his job. If he didn't wear these things (even though he would never consider NOT wearing them), he wouldn't have a job. But the difference here is that nobody is forcing anybody to go on vacation. If the vacation destination that you wish to visit requires a mask and you don't want to wear one, you have the choice of not going. You won't lose your job, you won't be arrested, nothing bad will happen to you. It's completely up to you.
