After a long wait, we finally have our membership number in our hands for our resale AKL contract. Throughout this entire process, the paperwork has said there would be 28 points for 2015 and full points for 2016. I just talked to MS and got everything set up online so I can start using my points and see a completely loaded contract. I have full points for 2015 AND 2016! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

I have no idea how this happened or if it's maybe a computer glitch and everything is going to show up as expected tomorrow, but for now I'm happy!
 
Don't use the extra points, when they catch the error they will cancel your reservation.

Thanks for that. I'm on the phone with MS now....I'll just let them know what I'm seeing and see if it's really an error or if they are actually supposed to be there.

You were totally right! I called to extend a night on our upcoming vacation using the 28 points that I knew were supposed to be there and they couldn't even make that reservation because of the error. However, the rep was so awesome and put the room on hold for me so the room would still be there when the points are fixed. He even said that if they don't fix it before we are scheduled to arrive, we can do it all after we get back. That's going above and beyond what I expected and has renewed my :love: for DVC.

Glad it worked out but in my book, the error should not have occurred in the first place. I don't really love DVC because they fixed their error.

Maybe I spoke too soon...

When I logged into the DVC site this morning, it shows I have ZERO points for 2015 and 2016. I should have 28 points for 2015 and 160 points for 2016. We are leaving in 3 days and need this thing straightened out since those points are paying for one night....

Did you already book? The points go away when you book. I'd expect, if they're paying for a room in three days, that they're already spent.

Yes, but we booked using our other contract. We wanted to use the 28 points for 2015 from our new contract to just add a night to our stay. They have the room on hold for us until the points are fixed, so in theory everything is good for the vacation, it's just not "paid for" yet until we can get the points straightened out. I talked to MS again and they said their IT team is still working on it.
 
When they get done fixing, check everything in your account, names, points, point activity, contracts, pending reservations.

After one of our fixes, they left an IT person as an associate on our account and they didn't know it. Took them a couple of weeks to verify who the person was and to remove his name and of course originally they said that we did it.
