Only two things wrong...the one Steeler player should be fined for his cheap shot and I wish that somehow both teams could have won. I didn't have a favorite going in and I liked both teams as I watched. :thumbsup2

Great game and congratulations to the Steelers.

I didn't have a favorite team etiher - was just hoping for a great game to showcase another great Superbowl here in my home town.

Couldn't have asked for better weather today either. I'm sure the NFL was very happy that they once again chose Tampa Bay to host!

That was something, wasn't it? I don't even like football, but watched it with my husband and son and I was really into it.

I feel the same way! I had no intention of watching but was kind of listening and it drew me in.

I would almost always rather watch paint dry than professional football, but that was an amazing game!!!!!!

I agree about the cheap shot - since I don't watch pro ball often, I wasn't aware they went after each other like that. I hope that was a rare event...

I did not sit for the entire 4th quarter.. I walked around with my 4 month old the entire time.. my arms hurt!! I was sweating pretty good by the end.. I got a workout in tonight!

Most players do have a little more class than that. He should have been tossed from the game. It wasn't just one cheap shot, it was 2 or 3 and completely unprovoked and uncalled for.

I was hoping Kurt would pull it out again. :( He's such a classy guy.

Harrison should have been ejected for punching that player. Even Madden was like there is no place for that and he should have been ejected.

eta: I also think that ending the game that way was lame. It was a forward pass.
The NFL really needs to look at the refs as well the penalties in this game clearly favored the steelers.
Penalties 7-56 for Pitt and 11-106 for the cards.

I read many of the NFL message boards like the pats, colts and chargers and it aint pretty out there right now.

This was just on espn

Another unwelcome sidelight, at least for the NFL, is that we're sure to hear plenty about the officiating after this one.

Referee Terry McAulay arguably should have ejected the Steelers' James Harrison after punching and decking Aaron Francisco. And on the final play, replay official Bob McGrath should have issued a challenge just to be sure Warner's arm wasn't moving forward on the game-clinching forced fumble.

way better than the commercials this year.

you have come to that conclusion with a visual perception only. I would not be surprised to find that there was some considerable taunting from the "victim".

I completely agree with the forward pass... especially when I didn't think Ben's "call" of his forward pass flag looked nothing close to Kurt's.

I thought that the Cardinals got some breaks late in the game too. Like I said, I didn't favor anyone so I'm not biased. I think that usually both teams tend to get breaks and questionable calls.

Totally agree with the comments about James Harrison's inexcusable actions. He was having a great game, with that record-setting 100 yard interception before the half - why did he have to ruin in with uncalled-for behavior???:confused3

We were thinking the same thing about the Warner's last play, but in the slow-mo replays, it really looks like he lost control of the ball, thus fumbling, before the forward motion. So, I think the call was right, unfortunately, because I was really hoping the Cardinals would pull it off. :sad1:
