SO.... today is our 30 day mark for our trip to SSR with deluxe dinning, woo hoo. This will be our first time at SSR and the first time my DH and I will go away with out our kids ever (oldest is 10). We will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and my DH 40th b-day.
Originally we were going to run the Everest 5K at animal kingdom but DH decided he would rather race at home and just enjoy Disney (and he didn’t want to wait until May).

We really wanted BW with a water view and yesterday I thought we are AP holders and I have a code, I will see what 40% looks like, how bad can it be?
The CM was super nice and looked at all the options. The price of a water view BW ROOM ONLY (not villa) with deluxe dinning and 40% AP discount (which was better then the code I had) was
SO MUCH, SO MUCH (not sure if I can put a price on the board)

I told the very nice CM that she had just made my day. That sometimes I am not sure we made the right choice buying DVC especially when the dues are due (which just happened). My family does not have that many points, and I know DVC is not for everyone but WOW she made me feel GREAT!!. :cool1:The non DVC amount is way more then our DVC room, deluxe dinning, airfare, even what we have planned for tips, souvenirs and extras WAY MORE.

I am also pretty sure we would not be going on this trip at all with out DVC. I know there are values and moderates but the only way we could afford our season passes was the DVC discount, and with out our season passes we would need a more package (even at a value or mod it seems more expensive). I love DVC now more then just yesterday and I wanted to share the love.:love:

I hope you have a wonderful :lovestrucAnniversary trip!

It is a good feeling, isn't it? Hopefully you will have many more trips to enjoy. :goodvibes

Have a great trip and enjoy your time "off"! My neice who has been going to WDW the past 3 years (college student goes to value resorts) just said how bummed she is because Disney is going to cost her a little bit over 1000.00 this year. The past 2 years she has gone with a meal plan between 600.00 - 700.00 per person!

It's so awesome to have a CM that makes your day! Have fun on your anniverary trip!

I remember we stayed at Pop, 2A2C for 3 nights with Free Dining (app, tip, incl) 1 day tix for each for $600!!!!!:wizard:

Definitely cant pull that off today!

I agree op, 40% off Deluxe rack rates is still quite the eye-opener. 1 thing that is true with DVC marketing is the 70% or more off Deluxe rates they tout. I have found that to be an accurate statement.

Have a great anniversary/birthday trip!:flower3:

SSR is beautiful and they have gorgeous water views at DTD.

I feel the love! No way would I be able to treat my mom, sister and her family to accommodations at WDW at a deluxe resort without DVC. I bought into DVC because my sons and I love WDW and also because I wanted to be able to share the experience with extended family and friends. Can't wait for September to see my niece's face when we finally get there!

I know what you mean! I have a friend who is going in April to the BW with the AP discount, and I about fainted when she told me what the discounted rate was!!:scared1: Made me feel great about DVC!

Have a wonderful anniversary trip!:goodvibes
