What a 40th Birthday pressie I'm in shock

We have just booked up to go to Orlando on the 10th May for a week.
I think I am in a state of shock. I can't quite believe it.
We only decided yesterday to go and just went in the travel agents to find out about prices, but booked it there and then as there were only 3 seats left on the flight we wanted.

We are only able to travel on the 10th May as that is the week my youngest is going away with the school so we had to go then.

It's my 40th Birthday in April and I had hoped to go to New York for a couple of days but found it was cheaper to go to Florida for the week so no comparison. WE'RE GOING.

I got 4 days in Paris without kids for my 40th & we had a wonderful time.

This is my sort of pressie - I think I would choose a week in Florida over New York anyway even though I really wanna go to NY NY. Have you ever been for a week before? I enjoy going for a week you can still acheive a lot but you sometimes have to make choices - last year we chose to go to SeaWorld rather then Universal as we were staying on-site at WDW and spent most of our time there Also you need to plan for shopping coz let's face it that's what you'd be doing in NY

Anyway great pressie and I love the way you were just going into travel agents to find out about prices - that's always the best way to book IMHO

I still can't really believe it!!!

12 weeks and we'll be there.

Last time we booked nearly a year in advance.

Next hurdle over with I told the children today and they don't mind at all. I think it's because they know we'll be doing a lot of things they wouldn't enjoy, like MK, EPCOT and shopping. If any of you remember my trip report from xmas 2001 you'll know what I mean.

Now I have the chance to do what I want. I just can't believe it

Must get into planning mode now it took me months last time!!

Sorry I'll miss you Kevin think of me when you start your holiday, mine will be finishing AND I'll be 40
