What’s for Dinner Tonight?

There’s nothing like putting together a homemade sandwich at home! So that’s what I did for after church at lunchtime. So good. Fresh shaved roast turkey & London broil..red leaf lettuce, thinly sliced white onions, sliced heirloom tomatoes, Grillo’s sliced pickles, provolone, Italian dressing, salt & pepper, on fresh French rolls. 🥖Ina would be proud!

For dinner, I’m grilling up marinated chicken. just threw on a foil packet of butter carrots & a foil packet of Yukon golds.

Happy Sunday, all!! 🤩

....while the Primo Piatto hearth-baked pizzas are pretty good, I suggest trying Bar Riva, which is right next door. The Panzanella salad:

is pretty darn good, but my absolute favorite is:

the grilled chicken pasta! Of course, for the less adventurous palates, you can't go wrong with:

the signature burger.
Great suggestions! We will have to go there next time. I ended up getting the Mediterranean pita at Primo Piatto. DH wasn’t hungry so I grabbed something quick. That grilled chicken pasta looks excellent!

We spent the weekend in Springfield, MA. Friday night, we went to the sports bar in the casino to watch the Tar Heels football game. We shared buffalo chicken dip there. After the game, we picked up a grilled cheese. chicken noodle soup & an oatmeal raisin cookie at the casino South End Market to take back to the room. Saturday, we returned to the same sports bar to share a cheeseburger & fries, before going to a comedy show. After the show, we shared a brisket sandwich, a side of coleslaw & fries.

We are now in Bar Harbor, ME. The next few nights will be seafood heavy. Tonight, we had a bowl of New England clam chowder, scallops w/ pork belly & crab cakes.

I didn’t know you were so close, I’m 20 minutes from Springfield. Enjoy your seafood feast!

Alright, the partying is over and I’m back to home base 🤭.
This weekend was non stop stuff to do what with Halloween falling on a Friday and the merriment winding down with the NYC Marathon. Stayed home Friday night watching the giggly going-ons via a live stream @ YouTube. Ate some ham and bean soup with a half a cheese sandwich cut into batons. Yeah, France is still in my bloodstream, lol.

Saturday night ate the remainder of the soup leftovers and binged on “Dark Winds”.

Sunday visited a neighbor from my old neighborhood and cheered on the marathon runners from the ”comfyness” of her apartment. She had a lovely spread of appetizers and that became my dinner.

Tonight, it’ll be the end of beef chili (no beans) from the freezer, a salad and a beer.

I am sooooo far behind in this thread!
Tonight was leftovers. DH is away for the week (left today for a training session outside of Boston) so I'm on my own. I had a chicken thigh from Thursday's leftover rotisserie chicken and a little bit of leftover Stouffers mac-and-cheese from last night. Also last night's leftover salad. Not sure what the rest of the week will bring, except for Friday. We're having Chinese takeout (unless we do Thai instead). DH will be home, DD, SIL and the Little Guy will be here for supper. I want quick and easy, with minimal clean up, as shortly after supper everyone will tuck DD and me into bed early, as we have to be up by 4am to be at the airport by 5am on Saturday for our flight to DISNEY WORLD!
