I’m at a scout Order of the Arrow function, so tonight’s dinner is a mystery. No one seems to know what it is. One can only hope it’s not chicken rotel/cheese sauce spaghetti again

DH is having fried catfish, fries & hushpuppies. I'm having loaded baked potato. I sent him for a plain baked potato, but he saw they had a loaded version & decided I would like that better. Oh well, he had the best of intentions.

We ordered Door Dash from a local restaurant. I had Miso Glazed Salmon with Jasmine Rice and Broccoli and he had a Sandwich called The Dilemma, A fried chicken sandwich with bacon, cheese and a fried egg with waffle fries. (SOO Healthy, LOL)

LOL We are old and boring, today was our 22nd Anniversary but we didn't feel like going out and I definitely didn't want to cook because I smashed my thumb in the car door the other day and broke it...

Friday night was homemade burgers and waffle fries.
Last night was chicken patties and chips b/c our first dinner wasn't good and we had to toss it.
Tonight is steak tips and loaded mashed potatoes.

Family taco party this afternoon! Celebrating two birthdays. My youngest daughter’s 30th & our grandson’s 2nd.

We’re picking up a family pack from one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants & I made a chocolate layer cake with strawberry filling.

Today was Family lunch day and almost everyone was here! We had turkey ( I know crazy since next month in Thanksgiving). We almost forgot about a 24 lb. Turkey that DH got at BJs last November. It was in my MIL’s freezer. She said a couple weeks ago - do you guys know there’s a turkey in my freezer??!
Well the original plan was to have it in March!! Haha
We didn’t have all the usual Thanksgiving sides so not to spoil the holiday. We had roasted baby potatoes, green beans, and stove top stuffing and gravy.
Birthday cake for dessert for my sister’s b-day.

We had dinner out with another couple last night before seeing a local production of Carol King’s Beautiful musical. We had guacamole made table side. My entree was yummy open face tacos. I have a big pot of andouille and chicken jambalaya cooking for us tonight and to share with neighbors. Life is good.
