I've never heard of black fish. What's it like?We had fish and chips with some locally caught black fish.
It is a white flakey fish similar to flounder. I am in CT and it is local fish. I occasionally see it at my farmers market but not in stores, I’m not sure if it’s commercially fished. My friend’s father has a boat and fishes regularly so I usually get it from him.I've never heard of black fish. What's it like?
Lucky you. Nothing beats fresh fish. We'll look for it, if/when we're in CT.It is a white flakey fish similar to flounder. I am in CT and it is local fish. Do you know the fish shops between Madison and Old Saybrook? One is on the uptown side of Route 9 and is called Atlantic Seafood, I think; very upscale with prepped food. Across the road about a quarter mile away is a shop with old fashioned linoleum tiles and shoulder high glass counters in a tiny strip mall whose name I can’t recall. They sell local fish (mud puppies?) and eels they caught at the mouth of the Connecticut River. Love and miss that placeIt is a white flakey fish similar to flounder. I am in CT and it is local fish
I don’t but my cousin who’s like my sister lives in Madison so I’m going to have to ask her why she’s been holding out on me!Do you know the fish shops between Madison and Old Saybrook?
