I think DH is going to smoke venison. We’ll see how that goes. Probably a salad and I might need a few sides for the kids. Pretty sure they aren’t going to eat deer meat.
Roasted the sheet pan chicken today. So easy marinating the meat in a mayo base and I imagine this technique will be a keeper throughout the summer.
Half way thru roasting the chicky I added frozen corn and peas to the pan with shredded cabbage. Took about thirty minutes to cook dinner for a few days.
Finished the last of the strawberry sorbet and hope for another fruit sale so I can make sorbet again.
My dad I ran out this morning at 7 and picked strawberries. What is your favorite thing to do with them? Looking for ideas. I’ll be making jam over lunch.

Easy to add additional flavors like herbs or use other fruits. Soon I’ll be making mango sorbet.
PS no ice cream machine needed; just use a blender or food processor and process twice before pouring into a 8” or 9” cake pan or loaf pan. The second time I blend I pour into empty Talenti jars.

That sounds fantastic! Do you freeze it before you process it the second time? If so how linf do you freeze it for? I do have an ice cream maker but the part is not frozen.

We are playing Shanghai Rummy tonight, which takes hours to play, so we're having an early dinner of chicken and broccoli with bagged salad so we can get an early start on the game.
Tonight it was leftover sheet pan chicken on a roasted corn, radish and lettuce salad base.
Made enough chicky for another day or two on Sunday so I can apply my mind to a Disney shopping list and menu.
Scallops and corn chowder with no potatoes which some would say is no chowder, lol. Yes but I’m doing low carb so it’s a different world. Added peas and a little cauliflower as I love veggies.
strawberrypalooza continues. We had breakfast for dinner. Waffles with strawberries and fresh whipped cream and bacon. Chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.
