Not a coincidence at all, but also not much of a tangible impact either.

Shrek 2 is going to sell very well, and The Incredibles is going to open big.

Did hear something on a TV interview about not wanting Sherk to detract from the election. They must be worried it would hurt opening day sales.

I don't know. Seems like the perfect fit for Nov 2nd. Go out and vote, stop & pick up Shrek 2 video, watch it tonite rather then 48 channels of all election news.
