I voted for POR and for two adults I'd probably spring for the extra and book a king bed room - more comfortable

I absolutely love POR and POFQ. My favorite resorts so far. Get a room in the Mansions section and you will not be disappointed. Its a beautifully themed resort and has quite the romantic feel. Very nice.

We do not like the Mansions nearly as much as the Bayou section -- last time we were there we asked every morning if we could switch to the Bayou, half way through our trip we finally could and we couldn't have been happier. I wish there was a way to confirm the AB side.

Oh you guys! LOL You all think like me but I thought maybe I'd get more 'support' to go value ;) I know the price difference isn't all that much at all so we'll probably end up at POR again. We also decided to do the counter service plan and just pay when we want to eat at a restaurant -- save more time to play in the parks this way! ;)

I just need to work out airfare... I am so lucky my hubby just goes with the flow and hasn't tried to talk me out of this trip since we only got back in mid Sept from our last trip ;)

Why only the preferred rooms at Movies? We were in Mighty Ducks...which is where you'd be if you went Standard...and we liked it! We had the pool pretty much to ourselves (well, maybe a dozen others, but nothing like the Fantasia pool that was packed!) and we could easily walk to Music for the bus.

The good news is, the busses all stop at Music first, so there were times when we got on a bus we'd have missed had we stood in line at Movies.

That said...one more question...how is it that with the deals they're offering you are paying what I paid last May...for 3 of us...when there weren't any deals to be had?

Anyway, I'd say Movies. But then, we aren't a family who goes to Disney to hang out at the hotel and relax. We're barely at the hotel to sleep....

Well Pref. was the only option I could get when I searched online and it means being closer to the main building etc.

I voted for POR because if this is a special trip, go ahead and spend the extra money :) And depends on when you're going too. If you're going at say now between March then it will be too cold to go swimming. And if you're going say between April and September you might want to go swimming...We're going in September and plan on taking one day to do nothing :).

Then again, it's not MUCH difference between Movies and POR...but if you're not going to be in your room much and really doesn't matter, I'd go for Value. I've never stayed in both but know people who have and said they liked Port Orleans better--the rooms are bigger for one.

However, decide what YOU want :) Just giving my take on it.

You could stay at a value and take that extra $ and go to Cirque de Soliel or something else special!

Have been at both and like both, but as just two adults, I'd take POR. Fewer kids running around making noise, bumping into, crowding food courts. Just makes for a nicer adult setting in my mind. For $200 more, it's worthwhile, even if it's just morning and night.

I think that you would enjoy your "off" time more at the POR... it seems like a better place to relax...

We are doing Value since my 4 year old will love the huge Buzz, etc... But when we return with just me and hubby...I think we will go for a Moderate

I love All Star Movies, but in this case, I'd vote for the Moderate. POR has the boat ride, and for two adults with no kids, I'd go with POR. The room will be a bit bigger, and they have a restaurant besides the food court.

POR. It will be well worth the extra money. It will be a little quieter and be a better place to relax if you do end up going back mid day. We have been there a couple of times and love it! Better food choices as well!
