Alrighty all... we've narrowed it down to a Mod or a Value -- honestly we aren't in our room enough to warrant a Deluxe as we are two adults in our 30s and won't be back for naps/resting etc...

So cast your votes!

Based on what you said, I was going to say Value, but then I remembered that there is a nice boat ride from POR to DTD in the evenings. Something that could be nice, relaxing, etc. So, since the price was so close, I voted POR. They also have nicer pools and prettier, more "grown-up" theming.

I voted for POR. Hot tub, pool slide, and the boat to DTD are all big pluses in my book.

Agree 100% POR for the atmosphere, the boat ride- overall more relaxing

I was going to vote value too, but then I read mmmears post, and I have to agree. POR is a prettier resort, has a good food court, and might be better for an adult weekend. There's lots to do at POR (if you want to spend some time there). There's a horse drawn carriage, and there is a campfire too. There's also a piano lounge with live entertainment that gets pretty good reviews.

For 2 adults, POR all the way. I, like everyone else was going to say Pop b/c you said you will only need to sleep and shower. I think POR will be more peaceful, and have a more adult feel to it. We liked POR when we stayed there

Yep for $100 more you get a really nice resort, we've stayed at POR numerous times and it's one of our favorites. Book it through AAA and depending on whey you go you could save 15 to 20% on the room portion.

I haven't stayed at either but I chose POR as thats where I would pick if I had your choice.

I also chose POR. A great resort. make sure you make it to The river roost bar to see Bob jackson the piano man. He's a riot! The boat to downtown disney is also a great perk!

I voted for POR. The prices are so close that it was the hot tub that pushed it over the edge for me. I love being able to sit in the hot tub for a bit after a long day at the parks.

I'd go for the POR, its a nicely themed resort, very laid back, there is a sit down restaurant and the food court is pretty good. You also have the perk of taking the boat to DTD which is a relaxing way to go.
For 2 adults I'd go for the POR hands down.

I absolutely love POR and POFQ. My favorite resorts so far. Get a room in the Mansions section and you will not be disappointed. Its a beautifully themed resort and has quite the romantic feel. Very nice.

I say spend a little more and go for the mod. (This coming from someone who saved the same amount of money to stay at the value...but I have kids and am spending more in other ways).

Seriously...if there is wiggle room in the budget, it would be nice to stay somewhere with a relaxing atmosphere! If it doesn't mean you have to skip out on something else...go for it!

If it means that you will miss out on other things on your trip, then maybe it's worth it to you to stay at the value!

POR - ask for a Mansion room and you both will feel like you are in a deluxe.
Take a romatic (or fun) carriage ride around POR/POFQ.
Rent a boat at POR for some enjoyment.
The walkway between POR & POFQ is very nice.
The POR foos court is also good.

Also - Moderates have refrigerators - a nice plus to store some snacks for just the two of you.

I voted value as you indicated you won't being using the resort for the things they offer except sleep/showering.

Even if you aren't in the room much, for such a small price difference definitely POR. If you really don't care about the ameneties then just to a regular value room instead of preferred and what not.
