WE'VE GOT STOWAWAYS! Giving Thanks & a Very Merry Christmas Party! **PICS!**

Post 12
Yum! Chip 'n Dale are tasty!

Since, we had made it all the way over to Fantasyland to try the Strawberry Swirl, we decided to see what we could enjoy at Fantasyland that wasn't too crowded. It was mid-afternoon, so it was packed! :crowded: I usually try to avoid Fantasyland early in the day when all the kiddies are up and enjoying WDW!

Then, I saw Scrooge McDuck out of the corner of my eye! :yay: Now, I am a huge "Duck Tales" fan! I grew up watching and loving the cartoon! I had never met Scrooge before and was so excited to see him out about! I even had a Scrooge stuffed animal when I was younger, but I'm sad to report that I have no clue what happened to him! :sad2: I knew Scrooge would also be out for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but I was afraid I could miss him at the party. I thought I better meet him now, just in case! ;)

The line was pretty long and and we waited a good 20 minutes before we got to meet Scrooge! I was afraid that Donald would be out by the time we got to the front of the line because Scrooge and Donald rotate every 30 minutes. We were one of the last groups that got to meet Scrooge! I was getting really worried when a group of 10 cheerleaders were in front of us taking a photo a piece! It took forever! :rolleyes2

Mickey and I made our way up to meet Scrooge, like I said, Chip 'n Dale had no interest! :rotfl2: I made sure to tell Scrooge that I loved his work in "Duck Tales!"

n25002324_31303620_4463.jpg

DH wanted to go check out Toon Town Fair, so off we went! I loved seeing all the houses decoarted for Christmas! They were too cute! Minnie's was my favorite!

n25002324_31303622_5121.jpg

n25002324_31321873_467.jpg

Then, I remembered the Toontown Hall of Fame and wondered if "Big Chip 'n Dale" would be there! :scratchin I told DH we need to go peak in and see if they were there! I saw that there were 3 different lines to choose from: 1 for Famous Friends (Mickey & Minnie,) 1 for Toon Town Friends (Chip 'n Dale & a Special Guest,) and then 1 for the Princesses! :woohoo:

I had no idea there were this many characters back hanging around the Toontown Hall of Fame! I was so happy to find Chip 'n Dale and had to tell the Boys the exciting news! :hyper2: Chip 'n Dale were thrilled and took off down the line to meet "Big Chip 'n Dale!"

We got in line and a little girl behind me asked if Chip 'n Dale were a present for "Big Chip 'n Dale." :rotfl2: I said, "No, no, they just want to meet them. They're staying with me!" :teeth: That then got Chip 'n Dale thinking and they thought it would be a good idea if they stayed with "Big Chip 'n Dale!" :lmao:

My Boys were thrilled to see "Big Chip 'n Dale" again and Chip 'n Dale got to spend a lot of time with them, which made them so happy! :hyper2:

n25002324_31321821_4724.jpg

I looked away for only a second from the Boys and turned around to see them in Chip 'n Dale's mouths! They were enjoying them a little too much now! :rotfl2:

n25002324_31303624_5744.jpg

Chip 'n Dale were very sad to have to leave their Big friends again, but they were so happy that I kept my promise and they go to spend more time with them! We then saw that the Special Guest was Perla from "Cinderella!" I love Perla and had also met her at 1900 Park Fare at my pre-wedding dinner in June. :goodvibes

Perla was also thrilled to see the Boys and Chip 'n Dale even wanted to get a picture with her! I was shocked! :hyper: Meeting "Big Chip 'n Dale" really did put them in a good mood!

n25002324_31321871_9867.jpg

Then, Chip 'n Dale said they wanted me and Mickey to be in the picture too! I must say this is a pretty cute family photo, well, minus DH! :goodvibes

Lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table princess:

n25002324_31321876_1419.jpg

We had reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table for a late lunch at 2:30pm. This would actually be our first time dining at the Castle. DH and I had seen a little bit of it inside when we were there for our Magic Kingdom photo session, but we had never seen the dining area. We checked-in outside a little early and were given a pass to meet Cinderella before our meal.

n25002324_31321877_1720.jpg

We were the first group there during our seating time, so we were first in line to meet Cinderella. We were enjoying looking around the Castle and seeing all the special Disney touches! It was also all decorated for Christmas and it was so beautiful inside!

n25002324_31321878_2040.jpg

n25002324_31321880_2654.jpg

I had taken a few photos inside the Castle as we waited and then I realized the battery in my camera was quickly dying! There was barely any power left in it and I was freaking out! Here's my first time inside the Castle and I'm going to meet all the Princesses, and my camera decides to die now!

This was my first time using this camera, so I didn't know what kind of battery life it had. It's also one of the new cameras that doesn't use real batteries, just a rechargable pack. I told DH I had to go try and charge the camera, find a replacement battery, or something!

We got out of our place in line and went to one of the hostesses to see if we could leave, so I could find a replacement battery. She told us one of us had to stay and one of us could go. Well, I decided to leave Cinderella's Castle and book it down to the Town Square Exposition Hall at the front of the MK. That was the fastest I have ever walked!

I was hoping to find a replacement battery, but there was nothing! I was disappointed, but grabbed a throw-away camera because that's the best I could get! Of course, it was way overpriced, but there was no time to worry about money! I ran back to the Castle and was able to get through the doors with another group of people. It was now packed inside with everyone in line meeting Cinderella and Cinderella was now out by the Christmas tree.

DH ran over to me with the CM and they told me we had to be seated now and had no time to meet Cinderella. She told us we could come back for the first dinner seating around 4:10pm to get our picture with Cinderella. I asked if there were any other options and she said, no, so I guess we'd be back after 4:00pm.

I was out of breath and sweaty at this point. We made our way up the stairs to the dining hall. I was in front of DH and he was following pretty far behind me. Next thing I know, DH is running past me on the stairs yelling, "A lady just fell and hit her head!" I was like, "what!?" DH ran to one of the nearest CM's in the dining hall to get help and they took off down the stairs, where DH tried to help the elderly woman up, but she said she couldn't move. I didn't get to see the whole thing, but the elderly woman and fallen down the stairs and hit her head on the cement hand rails around the stairs.

DH and I then had to leave the scene and be taken to our table. We found out the elderly woman was okay, bit we were so stressed by this point. We got seated at the table for two in the back of the Castle, right in front of the window looking out onto the Golden Carousel. It really was the best seat in the house!

n25002324_31327561_5846.jpg

n25002324_31322067_475.jpg

I was exhausted and not feeling great, so I got up to go to the bathroom before our waitress arrived. I was gone for awhile and came back to my seat. DH said our waitress was trying to get him to order for me because I guess they are in a hurry to get you in and out. I tried to calm myself, so I could enjoy this experience, but it really wasn't working. I saw a plate of something on the table that was the appetizer known as the, Chef's Tasting Plate. I didn't even know what half of it was or how it all went together! :rotfl2:

n25002324_31321882_3277.jpg

Our waitress came over and told me she knew I hadn't had time to look at the menu, so she gave me a quick review of the offerings and took my drink order. DH noticed the appetizers the children were eating and they looked a lot better than what was at our table! :lmao: DH asked our waitess if we could have that and she kindly said she would bring it to us! The inside of CRT was beautiful and I really wish my camera was working, so I could have captured it all! The tables and charis were magnificent too! My window faced right out to Fantasyland and it was so great to be looking over Dumbo!

n25002324_31321884_3859.jpg

Our waitress came over with our drinks and the new kid's appetizer! We dug right into it because we were starving! We placed our orders and then sat back to try to relax.

n25002324_31321885_4149.jpg

Then, there was an announcement over the speakers announcing the arrivals of the Princesses to the magical lunch gathering! princess: We saw Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, and the Fairy Godmother appear at the back of the restaurant and make their way down each side of the stairs.

We were brought our food pretty quickly and I got the vegetarian offering, which was the Pasta al Pomodoro - fresh vegetables and pasta tossed in tomato sauce. It was very good and I cleaned my plate!

n25002324_31321886_4442.jpg

Now, I enjoy character meals, but some of them can be somewhat annoying when you are trying to eat. I'm sure some of you understand and have felt like that before. We were pretty crammed at our table and it was very hard to keep getting up and down to get a picture taken with the Princesses. The chairs were heavy and would barely move, and I kept dropping my napkin every time I had to get up. It was very hard to take good pictures where we were becuse there was no room if I sat down, so I had to stand up to be able to get a decent picture with the Princesses.

n25002324_31321888_5017.jpg

n25002324_31321889_5323.jpg

The Princesses were wonderful, even if the greeting was rather quick. I really enjoyed Snow White! DH & I thought she was the best!

I'll be back to finish up my Report on CRT!

What a day, I'm so pleased that the lady was ok. We are planning a CRT breakfast the day of our wedding, I think it will be a nice place for us all to meet in the morning.

I haven't been to Disneyland Paris since it first open and I have to say that back then it was nothing compared to WDW. I think there is more there now so it might be much better. The castle there is beautiful.

Wow. I really want to dine in the castle! Its sad that your camera ran out .. but the pictures were still cute!

I'm back from my trip & all caught up.
So glad you got your house     .
I've started my trippie & will be writing all about our 4 day cruise...so come on over so you can find out what it's like. We had a blast!!!!
Still lovin' your report & the boys antics.

Lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table princess:
Continued...

The Fairy Godmother then made her way over to our table and it was at this time that my camera battery took it's last breath and died. :sad2: We told the Fairy Godmother we were prepared and I whipped out the throw-away camera. Here's where you'll begin to see the quality of the pictures turn ugly. :rotfl2: It's so upsetting to me too because the Castle is so beautiful and a throw-away camera does not do it justice!

n25002324_31322063_9382.jpg

I had noticed all of the little girls at the lunch had magical wands! I wanted a magical wand too! When our waitress came back over, I asked her if I could have a wand too and she said, of course! :wizard: She asked DH if he would like to have a knight's sword and he answered no. I quickly interrupted and told her that he would LOVE one!

n25002324_31322064_9645.jpg

n25002324_31322065_9928.jpg

There was then a small show for all the Princesses and Knights dining in the Castle. We held up our wand and sword for the special ceremony. We then had to hold up our wishing stars, so all of our dreams could come true. At that moment, lights begin flashing off around the Castle to give the effect of pixie dust and it was quite a sight to see! princess:

n25002324_31322066_185.jpg

It was then time for dessert and we were able to choose between the adult dessert and child dessert.

DH decided to get the kid's dessert, which was the Royal Crown Sundae! It was such a cute dessert with colored Mickey sprinkles and a chocolate crown on top! I really wish I had my camera, so I could have gotten a good picture of it!

n25002324_31322069_1007.jpg

I went with the Warm Blueberry Buckle with Fresh Lemon ice cream, which was fantastic! I only wish there was more of it!

n25002324_31327559_5170.jpg

DH & I had a very nice lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table! We had wonderful service and our waitress was top-notch!

n25002324_31327563_6501.jpg

We exited down the winding staircase and I made DH make a stop at the bathrooms, so I could get this picture!

I'm so glad you had such a good time at CRT! I  the wand and sword -- too cute. When we went had dinner and they were handing out the lithograph instead. Although, thanks to the DIS I've heard that as of Jan 1 wands and swords will be given instead of the lithograph  I was already wondering if they'd indulge a big kid like myself and let me have a wand. Good to know it's possible ;)

I just want you to know that you do have to pay up front for any ADRs at CRT. That's the downfall about eating there and why we decided to put it off for our Disneymoon. It's pricey! You are paying for the atmosphere, which is worth it. :) We were the only adults there with the sword and wand, but we were also the only adults there without children. I know DH knows I wanted the sword! I don't know what his deal was! :rotfl2:

Us too! So, much is going on at the moment and there is so much I have to take care of here in NC before we move. Most of our stuff is all packed up, except for the stuff here in the apartment. The rest of our stuff is filling up the entire garage! I'm going to have to start packing the apartment up in early January.

You're right! We are wicked cool DIS'ers! :cool1:

I bet you looked great as Padme, but I won't pressure you to post the picture. :)
