We've FALLen for WDW...An October 2010 PTR! New 10/14 TR Link Added

I really like the Minnie one! It's really cute! :lovestruc You already know that I think you should put them on Etsy :) If I were in need of a park bag, I'd totally offer you cookies or something in exchange for a bag :lmao:

I've been meaning to make things to put on Etsy for a long time now. It's just having time to make them and now I do. :)

I love the bags! And if I remember, you figured out some things you wanted to do differently with the second bag. So if you are making more, then they would get easier, maybe? (if I am way off, I apologize. I am the complete opposite of crafty)

I don't know too much about Etsy, but I think it would be worth trying to sell some!

They would definitely get easier if I made more. This was my third one and if it weren't for sewing on the Mickey heads, it would have been a lot quicker. I am following a pattern (give or take some measurements and such) that I printed and I barely needed to use it this time. :thumbsup2

Well I got a bit behind on your TR and had to catch up! Your bags look wonderful! I'd like to try to do that, but I just need to find a place in the house to set up the sewing machine where I won't have to take it down again right away. I wish my trip binder was half as full and organized as yours, I need to get that done. Right now it's just papers jammed into sheet protectors and not really creative or fun.

Love your planned days! We have done some rearranging of our daily schedules as well, but for the good I think. We added another MK day since the day we arrived was going to be our MSEP and Wishes night, but my cousin couldn't get an early enough flight to make it. Then we moved AK to our planned resort day/Spirit of Aloha. We're still doing SoA, so we'll just have to leave AK a bit early. We added a ressie at Boma on the 7th for breakfast - thanks to your recommendation! :thumbsup2 We decided to cancel our LTT dinner ressie before MNSSHP and just do a quick CS at the resort before we head to MK. It's kind of funny reciting all of our plans, in the back of my head I'm thinking "who cares?"! I love that we have the DIS to talk Disney with people who do!!!:goodvibes

Honestly, I am doing my sewing on the kitchen table. I have a craft table upstairs in our spare bedroom but all of my scrapbooking things are organized there and there isn't much room to spread out all of my sewing things. I just keep the sewing machine and related items on top of our cabinet in the kitchen. It only takes a couple of minutes to clean up and put it up there. It doesn't look the best but it is out of the way yet still easily accessible. Perhaps if we ever save up enough $$ we can finish our basement and I can have an area down there. :thumbsup2

Thanks! It was a lot of work to make the binder but I know I'll be happy that I did it. I really want to try to keep track of how much we spend. I said I was going to do that last trip and I never did. :sad2:

You are going to LOVE Boma. It is so delicious!!! I secretly think it's one of the reasons why Greg doesn't complain about going back to Disney. My plans are so different than when I first started planning. I actually only kept one ADR the same the entire trip: Crystal Palace. That's part of the fun in planning the trip I guess, though! :)

Exactly, I could only talk about Disney to Greg for so long before he loses interest and no one else I know loves Disney like I do. Hopefully my cousin will come home from her CP at WDW and love it just as much as me. :goodvibes

Thanks for stopping by again!

Day 6 Plans:

I’m already getting sad just typing this because our trip is more than half over on this day. Oh well! Onward and upward! Hi Hoooo! Enough of that…

This morning we are sleeping in. It is not going to be a very exciting day for you to read about but you’ll see why.

Our late morning/afternoon this day is our OPEN day. I don’t have any plans set in stone. We may head over to DHS or even AK if there are still things left we want to do, heck we may even end up at both! We might go to Beaches & Cream for lunch. Heck, maybe we’ll even end up in DTD. Depending on how the weather has been and if it is beautiful today we may just hang out at the pool.

This evening however we will be eating dinner at San Angel. I know that it gets mixed reviews but DH and I really enjoy Mexican food and the ambiance of that restaurant seems great. After our dinner we will head to Fantasia Gardens to do some mini-golfing at Fantasia Gardens. DH and I LOVE to go miniature golfing but we are pretty particular about our courses (Let’s just say that a put-put course on a cruise ship wouldn’t do anything for us). We even went mini-golfing on our first date! Fantasia Gardens looks like so much fun!

I have a question for all you DISers! Can we walk from Epcot (via the international gateway) to Fantasia Gardens? Where exactly is it located? I think I remember reading it is by the Swan/Dolphin. I guess it’s two questions. Buses don’t go there right? I am budgeting for us to take a cab back to CSR after we’re finished which means we would have to walk to the Swan/Dolphin and catch a cab from there? Which resort should we go to? Any help would be great!

The end.

If you use Google Maps and search "fantasia gardens lake buena vista fl), you will be able to see it. If you switch to Satellite view, you can tell that it's walking distance from the Swan.

Fantasia Gardens is one heck of a mini golf course, you're gonna love it! We walked there from the Yacht & Beach club.. it wasn't bad at all.

Thanks, I didn't think of that! :goodvibes

Yay! I am soooo excited! :)

Love Fantasia Gardens. It is not an easy course, but we really enjoy it and you can see some of the high fireworks too.

OK... I was a bit behind, but all caught up now. ;)

Your plans look great so far - I think mini-golf will be a lot of fun. Tim & I went mini-golfing on our pre-kids trip. (Not sure if it was Fantasia Gardens... it was a Disney place... is there more than one?)

I love your tote bags!! You should definitely put them on Etsy! The crayon rolls too! :thumbsup2

Our favorite course in the Chicagoland area is Lost Mountain. Have you ever been? It's in Woodridge. I love how challenging it is. Greg and I love a little friendly competition. :)

I'm glad you are all caught up! :) I think there are 3??? There are definitely two, though.

Thanks, I actually created an Etsy account a while back but never updated it or listed anything. I have all of the "fine print" things typed up now and I even created a cute banner for my "shop" page. I started working on 2 tote bags to list on there tonight and I have more material on it's way. I came up with a few designs. I'm excited! I even ordered fabric labels to sew into the tote bag. :goodvibes

No, I've never heard of it. We'll have to take a look into it...Woodridge is not that far from us.

You definitely need to go! We live probably 45 to an hour away now and we still went out one day this summer, it was a great day! :goodvibes

Announcement: We got MICKEY mail today! Our ME "tickets" came!!!! The trip is getting closer and closer!!! Woo! :cool1:

There is one little problem. It says our flight arrival information was unavailable but we booked our airfare through Disney so I'm kind of confused. Being the person I am, I went on AirTran's website and checked to make sure our flight wasn't canceled. It is still fine. Do you think I should call Disney to have them change it or is it not that big of a deal? I saw on the actual tickets it has our arrival date and the resort we are going to.

I'd call them, especially if you want ME to grab your bags for you. Just to double check, you know?

The Minnie tote is adorable! I definitely think you should open up an Etsy shop - I think you would do really well. Etsy has become so popular. I wish I had your talent for crafts! :goodvibes

I hope you like SAI! Miguel and I ate there back in '08 and we enjoyed ourselves. It certainly wasn't the best food we've had at Disney, but it wasn't the worst by any means. Plus, the atmosphere is so neat. :thumbsup2

I called and they said that ME has my flight arrival info in their system. We aren't having ME grab our bags. We did that on our honeymoon and had a bad experience. Greg's bad was ruined and neither our airline or ME would take responsibility for it. Plus, I'd rather have my bags to unpack as soon as we can get into our room. We aren't planning on going to a park right away when we get there.

I AM opening an Etsy shop! :goodvibes I am working on two totes right now but I have to wait for the interfacing to come in the mail before I can finish them. I have more material coming to to make 4 more. I'll post all 6 bags and a few crayon rolls. I made business cards on vistaprint.com and only had to pay for the shipping. I'll bring some down with me to WDW just in case I get any people really interested in my bag I can hand them one. I searched "mickey tote bag" on Etsy today and there were only 2 pages and none of the bags were like mine. That's a good thing! :) I also ordered fabric labels with my shop name on them to sew on the bags. I'm really excited. Even if I don't earn much money, I'd love for people to be enjoying a bag that I made. :goodvibes

Ah, okay. I'm sorry his bag was ruined :( I'm planning on using them on my trip just because I want to go to DTD right away and don't really want to deal with my luggage. I'm hoping that my room will be ready, too, so I can drop off my carry-ons.

Yeah it kinda stunk but we got over it quickly and the important thing was that his bag was still useable. Our story is nothing compared to my DBIL and DSIL's honeymoon story. There's is horrible!

If your room isn't ready you could leave your carry-ons with bell services. We've done that a couple times. :)

LOL, I think it's funny you said it was sad just typing up that update because your trip will be half over...if only I had a trip that lasted 6 days! Normally our trips would be over completely!

Yes, you can walk from Epcot to Fantasia Gardens. It is pretty much right across from the Swan and Dolphin. Those would probably be your best bet for getting a cab back too. Unless you want to spend a lot of time riding buses you could go back to Swan/Dolphin, get a bus to DTD, and then get a bus back to CSR! haha

Fantasia Gardens isn't that hard, it's the Fairways course that is hard. I've never played that one. :rolleyes1

At least you guys didn't have to buy a new bag :goodvibes I hope the majority of your DBIL and DSIL's honeymoon was good, even if part of it sucked! I may wind up buying another bag at WDW because I have a feeling I'm going to be buying a lot of stuff. I plan on doing my Christmas shopping while I'm there :lmao:

Oh yeah, I forgot :lmao: I'll have to see what time Pop's luggage services close, since I plan on being at DTD somewhat late.
