Thanks Becky!

I found them in the travel section....Walt Disney World shelf. There was also a trivia book, but I passed on that for now and maybe get it closer to the next trip. And I want to find this MouseJunkies book I've read about on other people's reports too....

Happy anniversary to you both!!! Great picture - you two look great! Cheers to you and here's to another 13 happy years (and then another 13 happy years after that, and then another 13 happy years....)! :drinking1

OK I thought I had already posted, but I guess not...

Looks like you guys had fun at AK - I'm glad Michael's headphones aren't turning out to be a problem... yet.

Aldine's "dream come true" was really cute! Nice to have a little pixie dust sprinkled into your day. :goodvibes

We love the Boneyard - but it certainly can get hot, especially mid-day like that.

That Pirate League thing looks really cool!! I'll have to keep that in mind for our next trip if it's still around.

And Happy Anniversary!!! Sounds like you had a nice day. Gotta love any day that involves Disney books. ;)

she enjoyed it! and it won't be her last bit of magic this trip...

yes it can..you can see their cheeks were red!

That Pirate League thing looks really cool!! I'll have to keep that in mind for our next trip if it's still around.

I think so too....oh I hope that's not a hint no 010 trip for you guys or much later than that

And Happy Anniversary!!! Sounds like you had a nice day. Gotta love any day that involves Disney books. ;)

Thanks, it was and I agree...it was like an early b-day pres for me.:goodvibes

Hi Liz

the boneyard is alot of fun, Margaret then 2 1/2 just loved the little slide area w/ her older siblings as you can see. Just set a limit of time ahead of time to keep everyone on track. I say a 1/2 to 45 minutes is a good time frame.

Your trip is coming fast...do you have free dining?

The boneyard has been added to our must do's at AK...that's a great idea about a time limit and maybe a convenient use of snack credit to get DS out, if needed :rotfl:

Yay...can't wait for our trip. Yes, our first time on the DDP and :cool1: it's free!!

Today is my 13th Wedding Anni w/ my wonderful DH Matt

Yay...less than 16 months! It will fly by :woohoo: Looking forward to your review of that if Michael decides to join the Pirates League :) I think I'll have to wait a few years before DS will really get a kick out of that adventure!

Hi Heidi,

thanks...maybe I'll read something you don't know yet...JK ;) should be fun!

I believe Heidi mentioned a clinic in Central Florida that specializes in treating that itch. :rotfl:

Day 6) Cont: free ice cream after what?

So DH & I are having a conversation w/ this really nice CM (Benny Smith I think) near a DVC stand, and well one thing led to another and we decided to go on a tour/presentation of the DVC later that day. I think it had been something we had been toying around w/ in the back of our heads for a little while now and just thinking that the next trip we go we'll officially be a family of 6...in Disney ages and our options of where we could stay would be becoming limited and/or pricey, but is this something we could really afford... It couldn't hurt, could it?

The kids can (well the older 3) go in the play area while we talk w/ a guide, and we would be picked up here from the park and returned to CSR when we were done, plus free ice cream!

Ok what the HEY!

So we were scheduled to meet the CM back at the stand to be picked up by a van and driver around 5:40 pm. As I was finishing filling out a quick piece of paperwork

it was now time for our FP return to KS. So everyone else headed on their way and I would catch up w/ them. When I was done I figured they would make it over there before me, so I was hurrying back that way, to discover I hurried really for nothing...I made it there well before them. We went different ways I guess...I found a rock in the shade to sit on, as I waited for them to make it. It was still crowded over here near KS w/ a lot of people waiting around for the next FP time to enter.

Once all together we headed down the line and you already know how that went, it was crowded but moving and hot...but what else is new at AK, huh ;) Luckily despite the heat, many animals were out and we had a really nice safari adventure in Africa. Plus Margaret seemed to enjoy herself pointing and looking around. Except at one point toward the end she didn't like something because she kept her eyes covered:

Here are just a few pic's for your amusement:

sorry just had to add the BUTT shot

After we returned from our adventure, we were hungry and it was getting late! We decided to try Yak and Yeti market for the first time, and first by mistake wound up over at the TS...the air coming out felt nice...oh well. We ended up at the right place (Why do they have a TS and CS practically named the same thing anyways?)

At first it seemed that there was no table(s) to be found for us to sit at, let alone in the shade. It was not the best time to be eating at the park w/ the brunt of the crowds all stopping to eat at the same time too! Besides that Asian Heat was blistering in the Jungle...

we were in desperate need of an Oasis about now. I really wanted to eat here and try it, besides I didn't want to trek all over the park to another CS...I was about to throw the towel when my Dad noticed some people leaving & found two tables big enough for us to squeeze into and was partially in the shade. I sat w/ several of the kids as my parents and Matt went up to get food for everyone.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well, actually how GREAT the food was here. I've read some mixed reviews of this CS, but I thought it was excellent. They ordered and received our food quickly. I had the sweet & sour pork w/ rice. The presentation of the adult food choices in the little “Chinese” style take out boxes was so cute,

100_2658-1.jpg

plus very clever IMHO. As a mom of 4, getting everyone's food organized and cut, etc...I'm usually always last to eat...so to find my food hot all the way to bottom of the box was :thumbsup2

I also thought it was just enough ratio of meat to fruit/veggie and the rice was yummy not to sticky, just right.

We also had some company throughout the meal w/ a duck family

100_2656.jpg

wandering through, yes some other guests' children started to follow them around, but it wasn't too bad. My kids were slightly amused, especially Margaret calling out “Duckie” and looking at them wander under our chairs by my feet. These ducks seemed a little friendlier than the ones who stay at the Catina in Mexico...even I was a little frightened of them there.

We had a very nice meal and rest at Y & Y. It was getting close to the time for my parents & I to go do EE and we consulted the times guide to discover a FoW show would be beginning soon and decided that would be a good time for Matt & the kids to pass while we did EE. They took a quick restroom break which was conveniently located at the back of the dining area.

They headed out first, as my parents and I lingered for a few minutes finishing our drinks and desserts.

I can't remember if it was on our way there or back but we stopped to take these Photopass pictures:

Image152.jpg

We basically walked right on EE. I rode alone and my parents rode together. It was another great ride and my Dad got a big kick out of it, it sure is a fun rush...though the initial 1st time “crazy WOW!!!!” was lost as I knew sorta what was coming. But I still look forward to going on it again.

We then headed back to FoW, and the show was not quite over yet, so we waited outside the entrance till they came out. I started to notice the CM's starting to get the parade route ready for the 3:45 pm Jammin' Jungle Parade. I wasn't quite sure what we should do next...

• SPLIT up and view the parade (my Dad didn't want to)
• Go take the train over to the Conservation Station, all together
• or something else

My whole TP at this point was gone and we just were playing it by ear...

The crowds were exiting FoW now and it was taking quite sometime for them to exit out...and we were getting a bit impatient out here. I walked over near the entrance too see where they where...they were waiting in line to talk to one of the bird handler CM's, Aldine wanted to ask a question. She is very inquisitive and loves to stop and talk to “informative people” like such. It just was taking awhile and I was getting a bit antsy to move on.

They made it out and we stood there, gawking as we tried to decide what to do next...which is just so frustrating...hence why the usual touring plan-guide is so much better.

Before I tell you what we did next, here are a few pictures from FoW and several that Aldine took w/ our camera:

100_2662.jpg

100_2663.jpg

see the hidden Mickey's

100_2666.jpg

100_2674-1.jpg

So after much debate we opted to go to the CS, but first another restroom stop and diaper change for Margaret we actually got to see the first few minutes of the parade go by.

Then we hopped a train to the backside of AK after the normal instruction speech given by the CM on the train....about staying seated, hands in the car....etc.

100_2687.jpg

100_2688.jpg

We got off the train and became separated, I was not too concerned knowing there is only one way on and off via the train. We'd all catch up eventually.

Until!!!!!!!!!

Up NEXT: “Parents LOST!”

OK, I'm dying to know what happened with the DVC tour!! :confused3

And you left us hanging again! :headache:

If you guys bought one then you've been doing a GREAT job keeping it a secret. :thumbsup2

And then you go and drop another cliffhanger... Lost Parents? :confused3

Please don't leave me hanging too much longer. :flower3:

I have to tell you about what my DH said tonight. We were talking about my upcoming solo trip and I was saying that I wasn't going to have enough time at Epcot. Well somehow that lead to him making the comment that he can see me going solo to Disney every year or every other year to meet up with Dis Friends. I was about shocked! He seemed to be totally cool with the idea of that....and it was he idea to boot!

I can't wait to hear what happens with the DVC!! Were you able to take pics of the tour? LOVE the safari pics!! We also got some butt pics as well!! :lmao: Glad you enjoyed your lunch at Y&Y! Brent would like that but I don't like Chinese food. Can't wait to hear more!

Love it!

I think I'm going to be pretty spoiled w/ going 4 yrs(08-family, 09-family, 010- family, & 011 Anni trip) in a row but then w/ a few off yrs before the next family trip....I'll be itching for a return. A solo trip sounds real fun and I so would love to meet w/ my crazy and wonderful Disfriends! :dance3:
