Westjet -- seat selection without being on hold for an hour?

We are traveling from Detroit to Vancouver next month. We are flying Delta, but one leg of our flight is serviced by Westjet. I'd been watching Delta to get seat assignments for that flight and yesterday the message "contact Westjet for seat assignment" popped up. (It had been "no seat map for flight is available" for several weeks.)

Delta is less than helpful. I did find a phone number for Westjet and get through the voice mail hell with all the correct information only to be placed on hold for a "superagent." The estimated hold time last night was 1 hour 2 minutes to 1 hour 33 minutes; today the estimated hold time is 57 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes.

Does anyone have experience getting seat assignments on Westjet through another means? E-mail, web, anything that doesn't put me on hold for an hour. Any help is appreciated.
