Hi!
I am interested if anyone has used the Western Beltway. Can you pick it up from I-75 or from the Bee Line? Is it a good alternate route? We are driving down from Atlanta, GA, and usually take 75 to the Bee Line. From what I understand this route avoids I-4 completely. Any Info out there? TIA :goodvibes

I'm not sure that it's open yet. We also drove down from Atlanta on the 2nd. We drove down to Orlando using 75, and the turnpike. I asked at the BW about the new road so that we could use it to get home and was told that one section was not completed yet. The section not completed was a bridge. We ended up going home on I-4, turnpike and 75. Check and see, maybe it's open now. It will be really nice when it does open to avoid I-4.

If you come down 75, you can get directly on the Western Beltway (I think it is Hwy 429). Since earlier this month, the Western Way exit is open, which takes you directly to WDW property without having to deal with Hwy 192.

I-75 South

Florida Turnpike at Exit 328 (Signs are very obvious)

Go to 429 South at Exit 267

Turn into DisneyWorld property at Western Way. Exit 8. It should dump you out near Coronado Springs.

Hope this helps.

The western way entrance is not useful to guests coming from the northeast (I-4, Daytona), east (Canaveral, Bee-Line/Beach-line, MCO airport), southeast (Miami, Kissimmee), south (Poinciana, Disney Preserve), southwest (Tampa) or west (Rte 27, 192).

I havent seen any information about tolls.. Could someone who has used this route update the rest of us? And do you think it saved time?

You can't get to the Beachline from I-75, nor can you get to 429. You'd have to take I-75 to the Turnpike to 429.

For those coming from I-75 FROM THE NORTH ONLY, it will cut off time and save the hassle of I-4. For those coming from I-95 from the North, or points south, it won't do you any good at all.

Rt 429 is a toll road, $2 total from Fl Turnpike to Disney Western Way exit. It does save time for anyone coming south on I-75.
