Well, I figured a tank over, a tank back, and a tank while there. That would be $165 at my prices, but isn't gas over $4.50 in CA? Maybe I over-estimated... Of course, you can get a heck of a deal on rooms in Scottsdale this time of year! That might make up for the gas.

One more fun picture for today. At the end of school, we always have a MOP (Massive Outdoor Party) at church where the kids get to cut loose!! This year we made a HUGE mudpit...it was so much fun!! (someone in the ajoining neighborhood called the police this year....so funny a kids church party getting busted up by the police...even the officer was laughing!!)

Anyone remember the Tom T. Hall song "I Like Beer"? DD had it playing on a CD the other day. "I like beer, it makes me a jolly good fellow. I like beer it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow. Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs to much and vodka puts my mouth in gear......."

All of the regular spots take reservations -Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou Restaurant, Wine Country Trattoria at the Golden Vine Winery (CA) all of these will absolutely need a reservation, but don't do special menus.

Great pictures! High school graduation is such a fun time! How neat that your church throws a party for the kids!

So sorry about your mom lashing out at you. When my mom was alive, I tried to keep in mind how I would feel if I was in her position. Here was a very vivacious, independent (became a widow at 59 and had to pull herself up by her bootstraps), fun-loving woman who had lost her vision (macular degeneration), weakened greatly by COPD, osteoporosis, and arthritis, lost almost all her independence--I couldn't imagine how angry I would be if I was her. I didn't like it when she took it out on me, but I tried not to take it personally. Easier said than done, for sure.
