Ian, please tell Sukie I love him

you of course know that goes for you too, without saying it.

Paul wants to know if Mr Celebity will sign his book for us???

I'm sure he'll sign his book, that is if his head hasn't swelled too big and he can still hold it up.

Man, I'm glad I ate dinner with you guys. Now I can say that I knew him before the world did! :rotfl: I wonder if I'll get interviewed by E! True Hollywood Stories and have to tell of the times he slept through the movies on deck, just like a regular person.

Stay yourself Sukie! Don't let those Hollywood types at PBS change you! ;)

Matt, when interviewed just remember the dirt you have on him about how he used his cane to get the sympathy of crew members, so they would give him a bag, just so he could haul off a few dozen Mickey bars for Jill!

THANK YOU! That would be WONDERFUL! I was really upset that someone had the nerve to take it.

sure, PM me with your address and I'll get one off to you. I actually saw one on a car at Beall's yesterday. First one I've seen.
Connie

Hi Pj - I've looked at NCL for this cruise too....but have changed my mind cuz I know 2 different people who went on this cruise and said it was terrible! Service and food were cr ap. I think Holland America does something w/ Hawaii too....I'll look that up and let you know.

My brother went on NCL out of NY to the Caribbean.. didn't like it as much... especially the servers... not that they were bad, but with the freestyle dining, they had new ones every meal.

My nieces were on NCL with hime and are DYING to go on DCL...(guess which Aunt is cooking up something for next summer;) (gotta get those Aunt Points up, you know!!!))

Found this online....sounds yummy!

Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Salad Ingredients: 4-5 medium plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
7 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Salt and coarsely ground black pepper
Snipped fresh basil leaves
Grilled or toasted baguette slices
Directions:
Thinly slice tomatoes
Arrange tomato and cheese slices alternately in rows.
Drizzle with oil and vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper; garnish with basil. Serve with baguette slices.
Yield: 4 servings

That sounds like my appy at Palo!!! GEt some good Balsamic (which could be a mortgage payment... so watch out!!!)

We have done 10 DCL cruises and Alaska still does not tickle our fancy, we still want tropical.::yes::

How about if I get you guys some mittens??? & lots of Hot Chocolate and Schnaaps??? Foot warmers???

That was really a fun day and being the Dream Family to sit in Walt and Lillian's box was our second magical moment that day. We got on the train at Tomorrowland just after 9 am and we were the only guests on the train with Minnie, Pluto and Goofy! :cool1: Goofy and PJ had quite a lot of fun!

Oh... you lucky ones!!! Are you sure you didn't just let it slip about how you met???? :cloud9:

We're planning to arrive the first weekend in August - so we'll leave CA around the 29th or 30th. But we haven't gotten a date for the moving truck from the government yet so it could be different.

When are you guys going to FL next?

We were thinking the end of Sept., but then so many people are going to be there the beginning of Dec.....so we may have to rethink it. We'll definitely see you guys on our way there if we drive by or in Orlando if we fly and Monica too. We could do a great dinner together.....we'll keep it tentative for now and we'll let you know as we firm things up. Good luck with the move.

Storm who as actually Yuri's brother Ralph, stole it because we was bitter towards Yuri.

The picture was painted on the back of the blue prints Disney World World.

It was in the Portfolio.

Courtesy of my sister and BIL who did it.

You know... funny... I still think it was Col. Mustard in the library with the candlestick....

LOL

Alaskan Cruises are generally only in the summer. Average Temps in the main areas of ports of call are generally in the 60's to 70's at that time of year. (Sitka, Ketchikan, Juneau, Anchorage)

Oh yes and make sure to bring your cameras and binoculars and be prepared to spend LOTS of time up on Deck 10 as the views will be spectacular and you never know when you will see a pod of Killer whales.

Ken... be careful who you call the pod of killer whales!!! :rotfl2:

Sukie and I did the butterfly farm on our own and really enjoyed it, but then we had time more to ourselves. We didn't do the DCL excursion because we didn't want to go to the Aloe factory. We took public transportation to the butterfly farm and back.

& SURVIVED!!!

perhaps you are royalty:thumbsup2

Monica is ALREADY royalty!!! She became an official Lady in Waiting to the Kingdom of Freedonia at Palo!!! She is due for a promotion at any time, however Sir Sukie is in charge of her paperwork and he has given it to Miss Tallulah to file... :rolleyes1

This is my favorite video of the entire trip. A really happy Nan!

Now... Tammy... it doesn't take alot to make the Queen happy... just throw her some Smarties!!!! (you should see the trick she does about catching it like a sea lion...:rotfl: )

and that is one of the many benefits of working from your house, i love it.

I just love working in my jammies...

ahhhhhhh haaaaaaa, it has been spotted. I was in a great mood. that was after the castaway club party. Just dancing and being silly. I should have known there was a video :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You're lucky it hasn't hit You Tube yet...

are you laughing at me, Marilyn???? you'd never do that would you? Poor Paul walking behind me shaking his head.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

After all these years??? I would think that Paul is used to you :lovestruc

Molly's class is taking a walking field trip to this movie next week. At first I was like wow that's a long walk, then I remembered we used to walk there all the time as kids (we live in my childhood home, so it's the same walk). What a different world..:worried:

Yeah... Main St. in MK used to look bigger to me too...

ok, I'm the bad mom that in the 2nd week just told the kids to have fun and check in once in a while. I have never felt the sense of security in having my kids be on their own before. But they showed us that they could handle it. It was so wonderful traveling with them and having them behave. :goodvibes

but...I do have to rat out Mr. Wonderful (Wilson) we told him he could charge $20 to his arcade card one day :rolleyes1 seems he hit the wrong button and charged $50 :furious: (that does come in handy) we had a long talk and told him he had to pay it back when we got home (which he did from his piggy bank) seems they aren't ready for "everything" just yet.

Oh wow... and I was just going to put you in for Mother of the year!!! (then I realized you're just like all the other great mom's and made him fessup!!!) (Grammy B would be proud...)

Totally understand the Aunt Points - we re-booked on board and added a room for my niece (and my sis and bil).

I have started my tr.....I'll post the link here but please know that noone needs to go read it unless you want to!! (I CAN be long winded hahahaha)

Reverse phychology if I ever heard it!!! :lmao:

I thought I might actually bore people as I can go on a bit (and on, and on, and on)....you get the idea :rotfl2:

What'd you say????

So I applied for another job today. It's for a secretarial position at one of the largest law firms in Lansing. They have about 69 lawyers in our city alone and also have a couple more locations in Michigan. One of the lawyers I used to work for at my current job left our firm to work there. I worry about taking a pay cut with starting a new job because I just got a raise last week, but my co-workers tell me I'd actually be making much more, so it's worth a try! Wish me luck!

Go get um Holly... the job and :cloud9:

Holy cow, I think tomorrow will be the day to fire up the air conditioning for the season. Today we finally got above 80 degrees for what I think was the first time this summer. It hit 89 and is supposed to be 92 tomorrow. I know that's normal for most of you people, but it will be nice to finally be warm! Yesterday was so cold at the zoo with Tyler's school field trip. Just about everybody wore jackets and long pants. Brrrr!!!! I'm so ready for summer!

Gee... kind of makes you feel like you were back in MEXICO?????

I will tell him and since he has been bugging me to get off the DIS I hope he "gets" why I like to be here, you are all my friends and I like to chat and share what's going on with you and hear about what's up with you too.

& you get to take a 2 week vacation with us too!!!

I can't believe I'm still up. Have to get some sleep so I can get up for work in 6 hours. Still have to scrub the bathroom and vaccum. Will do both in the morning, then will pick up the remaining stuff in the living room after work in the hour before Steve gets here tomorrow. He told me not to bother cleaning because he says he's not coming to judge how messy my house is. I thought that was cute, but still can't let it be too messy. My plan is to scoop stuff up and throw anything lying around into my bedroom or Tyler's bedroom and shut those doors to hide stuff. :rotfl2:

Goodnight all!

Gee... that's what I do every holiday!!!

It was great "knowing" so many of you. One night I went to the show alone and there was Cheri alone too. I didn't have to watch the show alone after all (DH was napping). It was like that everywhere. I saw Deb and Jackie alot and they kept me informed on what was going on. It never failed everytime I needed a picture of Matt and I, up popped Ken. And can't forget our tablemates. I sat at the table the other night and all I had to talk to was my cat. It was great getting to know everyone and DH surprised me by booking another cruise!

I bet the cat wasn't wearing a tux and a Mickey top hat either!!! Sukie????

I am starting to plan a mini vacation for us out to DL. Sukie has never been there. I'm thinking of either mid August or early September

Go for September... Don't ask me why... maybe I'm thinking of being there for work or something!!!

So yesterday I signed up for grad school. I will be doing my MBA online. I am pretty excited, I figured I better do it now while my company will pay for it, with things going the way they are, they could discontinue that benefit at any time.
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Way to go V!!! Best of luck!!! Try not to do your Masters Thesis on how to learn everything you can about Disney online!!! :rotfl:

Ian & Michelle - FYI I'll be in Spain btwn 11/8-11/17

Send postcards!!! Bring T-shirts back (I take XL...) Looks like Dec for me and Jan for Ian...

Haha Monica!

Glad you "found" Mickey too!

I swam all over the place looking for him and then decided to give up a bit and head in to shore and on the way in I found Minnie. Stopped and took a few pics:

071419.jpg

And then headed in. Figured I had missed Mickey. Then Shannon went out to find Minnie and she also asked a lifeguard and got the same answer you did.

So, I guess that just means we will have to go another cruise to Castaway Cay just to find Mickey. Oh shucks darn it all.

Hi Cynthia - Minnie normally isn't at CC, Mickey is normally there. Not sure how long he's going to be on vacation. I am a bit surprised that he would not take her with him :rotfl2:

don't you guys know anything????? MINNIE RUNS THE PLACE!!! ::MinnieMo

Nana the show was great, wish there had been more seats we could have brought you both along. Sometimes it pays to show up later, LOL.

Pj

PJ!!! I forgot to ask!!! How was SONIC?????

Gianni's Pizza on Lighthouse.

Thanks V... I needed that one!!!

ok, I am not blonde, the camera is on!! I had to go to my pc then click the canon thing, before it just did it by itself??

I think you may need to re do the disc that the came with the camera... I had to do this also - Good luck!!!

OH, yeah, those are so COOL! I just might be making them for friends! We are going up to Illinois next weekend, maybe that will be my little gift to them! They all love to walk and garden, so they get very sweaty!

Love, Love, Love the dolphin pictures, Carol.

Thanks, we will be making these for sure. We loved the tie.

You are very welcome!!! Happy sewing! May I suggest a light calico type of fabric? That works the best...it's light and is easy to turn inside out. Also... a safety pin on the end helps to turn the fabric inside out AND a 1/2 inch PVC pipe (or a turkey baster tube) works really good at getting the crystals down into the tube...

Today's Silly Story

Sukie and I went to Home Depot. He wanted 20 bags of mulch and a new fountain for the yard to replace the one we bought last year, because it cracked from the ice that formed in it.

So off we go in our Smart Car, Mrs. Fezziwig.

The plan was to get everything delivered.

A very nice young man at Home Depot suggested that for $20 we could rent a "Load and Go," a truck.

Why we suddenly had the burning desire to save $39 is beyond me.

So, we load the 20 (water logged, it rained today) bags of mulch on flatbed hand-trucks.

Sukie is limping today and using his cane.

I end up doing most of the loading on the hand-trucks.

Sukie is getting upset with me, as we now have some sort of manhood thing going on.

I try to make him feel better by saying telling him it's not unusual for old women like him to lose their strength.

We drag the hand trucks to the cashier and then I, like mule, haul them across the parking lot to the other end of the store.

I rent the truck.

The young man who rents it to me, is rude and odd.

I can take rude. I can take odd. Together it was annoying.

We (I) now have to load the truck. This was a farce in an of itself, as I was not bred for manual labor.

It now comes time to drive the truck.

Some of you might have seen the size of the car I drive. Now imagine me driving a big flatbed truck. Imagine me, in a Chicago alley, under the El trying to back the flatbed truck into the garage.

Sukie gets out of the truck. Apparently he has lined up legions of neighbors to help us unload.

It's odd, because it seems like there was some kind of alien invasion during the time we've been at Home Depot, because suddenly all of the neighbors have disappeared.

We manage to unload the truck, and I back on the road.

I have to stop to put gas in the truck.

We pull into a gas station, and now Sukie and I are perplexed because we can't find the gas cap. I do however, discover that there was a pull out ramp we could have used to just walk everything onto the flatbed, rather than my lifting and throwing bags of water logged mulch.

We finally get back to Home Depot.

I pay for the rental and we go back to Mrs. Fezziwig.

Now comes the insult. Someone has stolen the pith helmet Mickey head antenna topper I bought at Animal Kingdom. I'm PO'd.

Sukie and I decide to never try to do any loading and hauling again.

Oh, and there were some other funny things that happened both in Home Depot and in the parking lot, but that's my next posting, "Life With a Celebrity."

Oh.... Next time call me... I'll send you the $39!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now did it ever ONCE occur to you that you could have probably put Mrs F in the back of the truck and taken here for a ride???
Living With a Celebrity

The history documentary was a couple of days ago, and now the fallout continues.

Sukie has been stopped at the bank, on the El, in the supermarket. "Aren't you that guy that was in that documentary?"

I'm very happy for him.

Today in Home Depot he was stopped several times. He was even stopped by one gentleman, who, in broken English asked him if he knew where he could go to meet "lady-boys."

In the car ride home from Home Depot, Sukie is going on and on about his experiences and the celebrity status he has had the past few days.

Silence for a block or two. He then turns to me and says, "Enough about me. How do you feel living with a celebrity?"

And I can say... "I remember him when..."

Michelle - thanks for posting - I loved the one in the FE and was wondering if you made them. Now I can make them for our next cruise - but I'm going to stop at 5. 106 - WOW!!!

Lisa... you should be done in about 1 1/2 hours!!! Have fun... and enjoy them... it definately helps during the summer!!!

THANK YOU! That would be WONDERFUL! I was really upset that someone had the nerve to take it.

I'm just glad they didn't take Mrs. F!!!!

Matt, when interviewed just remember the dirt you have on him about how he used his cane to get the sympathy of crew members, so they would give him a bag, just so he could haul off a few dozen Mickey bars for Jill!

I'm going to give them all the dirt on all the times he propositioned my 76 year old MOTHER!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Stepfather... my butt!!!!

And with that... (being the only one on the boards up tonight coughing my brains out...)

HI MARILYN!!!!!!!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Good morning Michelle, good morning all!!!

Ian, I laughed out loud at your tale of woe. John never, ever has things delivered, so I am used to lugging heavy things around, and sitting squashed in the car when big items take priority!!!

Michelle, Sonic was cool. Dennis and Angie had fruit slushes and I had a lime-aid. The night we went it was five burgers for five bucks, we were all full at the end of it.

Pj

Good Morning Everybody

What a lovely day today

Hi All.....I'm so glad we're still posting here.....I miss you all! I'm so glad we had some Magic together.

I came home with the cruise crud also.....cough, congestion, head, chest, couldn't breathe....lots of fun!

I'm enjoying reading everyone's stories and seeing everyone pics and tr's. Thanks for that. It keeps me from having to go through withdrawals. I think Jill said it best, I could sit and eat dinner with my friends or I could sit and eat with my cat! Being with all of you on this this journey made it magical. I'm so thankful to all of you for that.

Yes, same with me ::yes:: ::yes::, glad meet you all

I hear that there's going to be a Monterey meeting soon.....I'm so jealous and wish that I could be there with all of you. Then there's the Ian and Soukie weddings.....I love you guys and would love to share your special days with you too. Then who is going to WDW before the end of the year? Monica......you'll be meeting with all of them I'm sure. And now Darrell and Lisa will be able to also. When are you guys moving to Jacksonville....in July?
I have to plan my next mini-meet or I'll be too sad.

Sound good but long way from my country and wonder if Ian and Soukie's wedding in England as We had been there Windsor.

I have to unpack this weekend and repack. Next Friday and Saturday nights we'll be in Virginia Beach for my nephew's graduation from High School. Tristan is my brother's oldest son. He'll be going into the Marines as soon as he graduates and will be out of boot camp in December 08. He's surely going to grow up now.

Sound great, something to looking forward

Can't you just take the SD card out of the camera and put it in a slot in the computer? If you don't have that option, I know you can take your SD cards to Walgreens and they can put them on DVD's for you.

Connie

Depend what size 1mb or 2 mb as I uploaded my two and take 2 hours then I find out that only half so have to do it again this weekend. If i put it in slot in computer, they wont accept *** over 1,000 photos. Have to be in camera? typical.

Wow, the Marines! That's great! Chuck and I are going up to Sterling, Illinois next Friday for my best friend's surprise 60th birthday party. We are actually going by ourselves, and Patrick is going into respite care for 5 nights. He is looking forward to going to "camp".

Then at the end of June, Chuck's nephew is getting married in Rock Falls, Illinois, his wedding was planned while we were on the cruise......it'll be fun, outdoors at his mom and dad's house in the country....a big family thing, so we are all going to that.

And Chuck says I have to figure our a way to travel with only carry on luggage, I just don't see how I can do that! But I'll try to cut back! The luggage we had to deal with on the cruise was just too much trouble.....next time I am going to wear the same thing every day!

wow, you have plenty to looking forward.

Next weekend, Alison and I are meeting up at Perth with our close friend and my ex sister in law for meals and drinks. They want to know about this Cruise ::yes:: and photos too.

This morning I received a letter from dlc to confirm for booking for next year:goodvibes but it is bummer for us as we want 2010 ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: :goodvibes

Ian

You made me laughing :rotfl2:

Congratulations that you both will get marry at Winsdor at UK.

Saw your photos and it was lovely photos, my Ian said that your formal photo are england suit? :confused3 Because he saw your band and he know as my husband from England well. You both good great with formal.

Wish you both good luck on 16th June.

Scottishwee35

Ooh, great!! We should see more of you now. apart from the fact that this new man might take you away from us!!:rotfl2:
Oh, you'll see about the same amount of me. Even when the screen on my laptop was not working, I had the laptop connected to an old monitor that was given to me. It worked, but it was so faded that I couldn't see or post pictures. So the only difference you'll see is that I'll be able to post more pictures. :thumbsup2

And if anything develops with Steve, he doesn't live close enough to be around every day. Only an hour and 15 minutes away, but just far enough to be inconvenient.

Now did it ever ONCE occur to you that you could have probably put Mrs F in the back of the truck and taken here for a ride???

You know, Mrs Fezziwig could have very comfortably fit on the flat bed truck.

And I can say... "I remember him when..."

Yeah, this is just too much glamor for one house. Today I have to transfer the documentary to DVD, so I can transfer it to my Mac and edit out the PBS pledge drive.

quote=Tink rules;25549216] I'm just glad they didn't take Mrs. F!!!!
I could just see us coming back and Mrs Fezziwig is gone, and lying in the parking space is the Mickey antenna topper

quote=Tink rules;25549216] I'm going to give them all the dirt on all the times he propositioned my 76 year old MOTHER!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Stepfather... my butt!!!!
How scary would that have been?

Might I remind you of how, when a few days before the cruise our fridge blew out, he charmed the repairman, and a repair that should have been over $800 only came out to about $150.

Now I'm not sure what he was planning on getting from your mother.

I'm sure you're mother had not anticipated going on a cruise and having a "younger man" talk saucy to her.

Good morning Michelle, good morning all!!!

Ian, I laughed out loud at your tale of woe. John never, ever has things delivered, so I am used to lugging heavy things around, and sitting squashed in the car when big items take priority!!!

Marilyn,

I've learned my lesson. Even with our old car, the station wagon, this would have taken us 4 or 5 trips.

I'm paying for delivery next time. I even had to put petrol in the truck, so I really only saved about $29 in the end.

I suppose it might have not been so bad had the bags of mulch not been exposed to the rain at the garden center. The 2 dry bags in the 20, were not hard to throw around. The water logged bags were very heavy.
