Deborah,

We're getting married in Windsor, Canada, not in the UK.

I wish it was going to be the UK! If it we were doing it there, Sukie's daughter had wanted to throw us a wedding party out in Bath.

I just realized ... after we get married, I'm going to be her STEPFATHER! :scared1:

Also, I'm going to be a STEP-GRANDFATHER with 3 grandchildren! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I didn't realize Sukie had a daughter and grandkids. Don't worry, it will be fine! Look at it this way: you get the benefits of enjoying grandkids without having to do the rough part of raising the daughter! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Lady-boys! Did Sukie laugh when the guy asked him that? :rotfl:

We were both a bit surprised. Sukie smiled and was very polite, but told him that he wasn't sure.

It was even funnier since we were deep in a conversation about new seat cushions for the outdoor furniture and whether the selection at Lowes would be better.

How do you make the rapid transition to a question like that!

OH MY GOSH! I just realized that now I can go back and watch the last few episodes of Lost now that I'll be able to see it on my computer! :yay: And Survivor. And Desperate Housewives! YIPPEE!!!! Looks like I'll definitely be a couch potato today....if I can get the wireless working. For some reason that quit, so I'm only getting internet if I'm connected by cord. That limits me to being stuck sitting in my kitchen. This did happen before, so if I can just remember what I did last time to get it going again.

Good Morning all!

Carol,

Good for you and Doug. When I suggested anything like this to Sukie, he looked at me like I had 3 heads.

Doug got almost the same looks from me when he suggested the PV and Cabo excursions but I am really glad I did them now.

That looked like a blast! Great pics! Will have to really consider that next time we are down that way!

How long was the total time with the dolphins?

Not sure but I think it was about 45 minutes. We weren't really keeping track of time but it didn't feel too short. But then it was COLD so it might have seemed longer.

Carol, I love your pictures! I SO wanted to do that excursion. Next time....when I cruise alone I'll be able to do it. :thumbsup2

Holly, it was definitely a blast. There was a children's class going on the same time as ours so I know what a good time Tyler had. I would love to do this again at another port in order to compare. Particularly in the Caribbean where it isn't so cold.

HEY! How did you get photo's of yourselves? Chuck and Mike went on the OutDoor Adventure, but they had to leave their cameras behind. I sure wish I had some pics of them! Those are so great!

We weren't allowed to take our cameras either and we wouldn't have been able to use them if we had. We had a photographer with us and bought the DVD afterwards. I think it was well worth the money just for the proof.

Living With a Celebrity

The history documentary was a couple of days ago, and now the fallout continues.

Sukie has been stopped at the bank, on the El, in the supermarket. "Aren't you that guy that was in that documentary?"

I'm very happy for him.

Today in Home Depot he was stopped several times. He was even stopped by one gentleman, who, in broken English asked him if he knew where he could go to meet "lady-boys."

In the car ride home from Home Depot, Sukie is going on and on about his experiences and the celebrity status he has had the past few days.

Silence for a block or two. He then turns to me and says, "Enough about me. How do you feel living with a celebrity?"

Now I can say I knew a celebrity when and what a great person he was. You too Ian!

Michelle, Sonic was cool. Dennis and Angie had fruit slushes and I had a lime-aid. The night we went it was five burgers for five bucks, we were all full at the end of it.

Pj

My first Sonic was in Pahrump, NV but we have one here now.

Yes, that question would definitely be surprising. How bizarre! But hilarious for those of us reading about it! ;)

Here are a couple more pictures from the butterfly farm (I posted a couple a few days ago). It was great meeting up with you and touring that day. If you want any from the field outside the Aloe factory let me know (pm is best because I don't always get to read everything here).

I also remember seeing someone ask if they could copy my pictures, my thoughts on that if I post them they become yours for the taking. I consider it a compliment that you like them enough to want a copy.

Yep on both accounts. We're moving to Jacksonville, FL the end of July and Darrell is an archaeologist for the Navy - though it's not terribly exciting. Mostly overseeing contracts for contractors to do the surveys on the bases.

Very interesting. Wow, quite the move. That is where our table mates were from and our Travel Agent, Chuck from All Seasons Travel. We really like him and his company if you are looking for a nice family style agency.

Hey, does that mean you won't be here for the mouseadventure? (i.e. less tough competition for us?):lmao:

Did you hear that they are doing it in WDW next year... you'll be able to do it there now too.

Ian, I live in the gayest state in the US and never in my life have I heard anyone say "Lady-boys" :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

good morning all.
Well we decided against going to a park, John just hates us having any fun without him. I suppose it's ok as I really need to clean. Already threw a load in and am now trying to wade through the mess in the living room. Hopefully I can get the house done by noon, do some grocery shopping and be by the pool at 2 at the latest.

Ian - LOVED the HD story!

V, I don't envy you on the cleaning. This is one day I can finally say I don't have to clean! Well, there are things that could use tidying, but I cleaned enough the last couple of days to feel OK with just leaving it for tomorrow. :thumbsup2

WOOHOO! Not sure what I did, disconnecting & reconnecting stuff, shutting down & restarting stuff, etc., but my wireless is working again! So today will be a Lost/Survivor/Desperate Housewives marathon! :yay:

Oh....and I'll take breaks now and then to start posting pics here. :thumbsup2

Carol

At least I never had to change diapers.

Sukie and I have been together for 21 years (Yes, 21 years. For our tablemates I did check dates when I got home).

I've known Sukie's daughter since she was 14. How strange that suddenly I become a stepfather and step-grandfather after all of these years.

Sukie spoke to his daughter this week. We're thinking of another "family" trip to WDW in the spring of 2009. Good thing I have the DVC points for a 2-bedroom!
