I asked John yesterday if he would do the same cruise again if Disney offered it and he said, without hesitation - YES!!!

So it is an AYE from us too.;)

Come on DCL - Panama Canal for 2010!!:cool1:

One sad thing. We came home to the news that our very new neighbours, who we really like and get on with really well had had dreadful news. Quintin, the husband has just been diagnosed with a rampant malignant brain tumour. There is nothing that can be done. Treatment would only extend life and not for long. They say he might have only had it for 2 weeks, and he could die very soon. How awful and unbelievable in just such a short time.

A question about moving an onboard rebooking.

If you move a 7 day booking to another date but add the next week to make a B2B, do you get the onboard discount from the 2nd week as well with it being one booking, or am I being too hopefull?

Good Morning Marilyn

It was lovely to meet you both.

About flight, we don't know that it was cancelled and we were late and rush then find out it was cancelled. That was first times happened during our lots of holiday. Anyway, we had a smashing holiday and feel emotional now, don't know if it is jetlag and different times between Florida and LA.

Keith was sobbing after left the Cruise. He was crying for almost half hour and left me lump in my throat. Olivia was fine. I didn't take the picture of him crying. Too sad for us too.

Kids are sleeping and I phoned school explained that they won't be in school today. The school told me not to worry.

Good morning all.

There is one left over piece of business from this cruise. We fired our dog sitter. Well, not fired, we just won't have him back again.

Our upstairs neighbors (our tenants) gave us an earful about how they thought the dogs were being treated. They own 2 dogs too and so are pretty sensitive to these issues.

They said that Truman and Tallulah were locked up too much. They heard him yelling at them and they often heard the dogs howling and crying when he went out (they never make a peep when we go out, even though they are put in their crate).

We were really PO'd. Sukie is absolutely FURIOUS, because of the breach of trust.

Our dogs are tiny. If you put them together they weigh about 19 lbs combined. They don't need to be walked because they are litter box trained. All they need is feeding, cleaning up after, and cuddling.

He also complained to our upstairs neighbors (tenants) that he wanted us to come home because he was "over it."

In my mind, this was very easy, cash for this this guy. Little responsibility and sitting on his butt watching TV and HD DVDs.

The ironic thing is that he really needs the money and this was also our way of helping him out, while he was also doing a us a favor.

It could have been a win-win. Lower cost for us and easy cash for him.

So, we're back to boarding.

This is really a case where this guy bit the hand that fed him.

Wow, not good at all Ian. You really want to be confident that your pets are being well looked after and it is really upsetting for you to find this out.

Ian, some people never know when they have a good thing. Hope your dogs are okay. Bet they were glad to see you. Mickey was thrilled to have us home and will barely let us out of his sight even now. Our bad news was one of our 5 cats got out while we were gone (all are strictly indoor cats) and hasn't come home yet. He was Mickey's favorite playmate (the other cats try to ignore him) so Mickey really misses him. Hope things work out better for you next time.

Hello

It was lovely to meet you and we enjoyed ourselves with the interpreters well. We had some fun with them too.

Oh, I would have been FURIOUS too! Nothing makes me angrier than abusive, neglectful people! I would have some very creative ways of dealing with these types of people. Unfortunately, the law wouldn't allow it.:furious:
I am so glad that I have my animal loving DD to take care of my pets and wonderful neighbors to babysit my grandkids or pets when I need them. Makes vacation much more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about these things.:thumbsup2

 :cool1: Yes, I`m so pumped about Tortola! I know it`s over a year away, but so was this last cruise when most of us booked! Oh, not booked for the 2nd week...not yet you say!You NEED to book a B2B :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: One week will NOT be long enough!

I`m so envious of your time in LA. So glad you had a good time though :)

Kathe

You're right.....how could I ever do another 7 night when 15 went so fast. John and I will have to talk about it.

I loved LA.....everywhere we went and everything we did was awesome. Even the weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold.

Vegas was ok....I didn't like it as much as I liked LA. We only gamled our last hour there and I won $200 at the quarter slots. The pool was overcrowed, the heat was unbearable. I don't think I like the desert....at least not there. The drive from LA was barren and dry and hot. I'm more of a coastal person, I need an ocean.

I have some more pics to post of California Adventure and Las Vegas from the trip.

I am standing right on front of him with the Mickey baseball hat on. Great cruise. I was wondering, do you know who made the Crusing Kingdom to Kingdom magnetic door signs with Mickey and the gang looking at the globe? I would love to get one made to commemorate the trip. If you know, please PM it to me. Thanks

Sue L

it was too funny to see the same picture just closer had to post in new thread too!

hey that's my hand and camera I'm taking a picture of him too.:rotfl2:

VERY sad about Universal Studios. And scary since many of you were just there the other day. Been watching news updates since earlier this evening. :(

I know and I agree.....how sad. We took the backlot tour and loved it. King Kong and New York street and Desperate Housewives were the areas that I heard got hit. We have pictures of all of them. So unreal.
