Many thanks for organising the Scrapbooking and it was fabulous.

I managed to finish it off before flight to Scotland.

My mother inlaw thought that two scrapbooking are lovely. I cannot wait to put some photos in later.

The poker worked out in the end. We pushed a few tables together at the adult pool. They even played two other times after the one we organized but we had the princess party during one and something else on the other but I can't remember now. Anyway, we all had fun. Some more than others because they won!

Ethan liked his secret Mickey gifts. Thank you. We missed you guys at the secret Mickey meet.

It was so much fun to go to the pajama party, sorry I missed the luncheon. EVERYTHING was fun!

::yes:: ::yes:: it was fun at the pajama party. That's where I got the "Beast". That was French toast with grilled pineapple over and in between and fresh strawberry type syrup over it and the island fruit. Oh my, how delicious it was. I would imagine 1000 calories. :lmao:

We didnt went to Mickey Secret meet as it was clashing as we had the brunch at palo for 11 am, that why we didnt make it.

I don't know who was the secret mickey gifts for Keith and Olivia.

I will ask Disneyrock later.

That is great that you managed had the poker as I was watching tv of world greater poker in Las Vegas while I was in the hotel at Florida while flight was cancelled. I still confused with it lol. Maybe I asked my cousin as he is great player with poker lol.

well Samantha has an ear infection....John has a toothache....ugh.....we need to be back on the ship!

I was planning on Tgiving at WDW simply as I feel like we are wasting our AP's this year. But I can get a 2 bedroom villa on the beach for $129 a night....in Clearwater, Ft Myers, and several other beaches....and then I could cook for us!

I think our table mates had two bad experiances with the Scooter lady, first they caught her taking free art at the actions and then she went diving and was climbing laders with no help. They wondered why she needed that scooter.

To get to the front of every line I saw her in. She seems to have left a lasting impression on quite a few people.

You could have had a good sale on Ebay!:lmao:

I was at WDW last year and a woman in a scooter was leaving the Lights!Motor etc show and ran over some woman's foot and then turned and told her to watch where she was going because she had the right away due to her scooter. The woman crumpled to the ground and I had to run and get help (her foot was broken) and the scooter woman was telling her suck it up and that was what you get for crowding around a scooter. I was so disgusted with that woman....when huge crowds like that are involved, you just have to more careful. Some people have no care for others which is just so sad.......

I wonder, could it have been the same scooter lady? ::yes::

oh, my goodness!

We just got home from vacation, and we have had a trip planned to our home town, Sterling, Illinois to go to my best friend's 60th birthday party for months on 6/13, next Friday....and we just found out that Chuck's sister's son is getting married on June 28!!!!!!!

Now we have to scramble to get flights and everything for that, and I have to try to get someone to work for me.......oh, dear! June is turning out to be as busy as May! ::yes::

We too have a trip in our MH planned for July. Family wedding and DGS college orientation both in Missoula, MT. :thumbsup2 :woohoo: DrHug's sis and hubby are going to fly up from So. Cal and ride over with us in the big van on sterioids. ::yes::

My mom and I just got home from DGS's final high school band concert. The seniors get up and exit the stage during the final number, leaving the empty chairs while the underclassmen keep playing. It really is a tear jerker moment. DrHug did not make it, he was coughing too much after working today and went straight to bed when he came home.

What a way to celebrate a special time in DGS's life....the passing of the torch so to speak....very sentimental. Poor Dr. Hug not feeling well and missing this special event. I've been a little sick too since we got back. Sleeping off the nasty bug I picked up along the way. Fortunately it waited until we got home before it came out. I hope Dr. Hug feels better soon.

Steph - are you watching the Mole?

I recorded it but didn't watch it yet because I have so much to catch up on.

I remember watching it years ago when it first came on the air. I loved it the most of all the "reality shows" but for some reason it didn't do well and they took it off. I'm so glad they brought it back.

Hi from your table neighbors from Oregon. I don't remember writing anything about your "beloved Ducks" other than GoBeavs! on your door. The "Go Gators" was already there. DW and I could not get over how well your lovely daughters behaved whenever we saw them. We can only hope that if we are ever blessed with children that we are lucky enough to have them turn out like yours. Hope you had a wonderful time and maybe we'll see you again on another cruise or around town when we visit DW's parents in Arizona.

Oh yeah, how was that pomegranate tequila anyway?

Kindest regards,
Randy and Annette (figment795)

Way behind so copied this from the closed thread.

First, you need to switch from the dark side - the Beavers are not good!

Glad to hear from you, you all ditched us the last morning so we couldn't say goodbye. Actually, thank you for the comment about the girls - they are pretty good - but they do have more than their share of moments like all little ones.

The bad news is the pomegranate tequila has disappeared. Went to our friends house that usually sail with us for a BBQ on Memorial Day and it was gone in an hour! It was soooo good.

We are headed to Eugene this fall to see the best football team in the Northwest play against Boise State - please keep the rain away for us.

This is why Disney has had to "get tough" with the rules for special disability access! They used to run out of rental wheelchairs because of people like that! AND that means the viewing areas for the disabled fill up so quickly......people in wheelchairs really DO have a hard time seeing a show through somebody's rear end!

Also.....the SCOOTER LADY!!!!! I think she and her friend were in the accesible room next to ours......sometimes she would leave her scooter outside her door, and we couldn't get into our room! :furious:
She bought so much stuff on the ship!
The accidenetally delivered about 10 bags of stuff to our room, and my husband actually accepted it, thinking I had bought it!

<rant>

OK, I am going to go into a rant about scooters and wheelchairs and people who abuse them when they really should be getting more exercise and moving their tuchases rather than sitting on them.

I lived through the trauma of taking care of my father as he had more and more pieces of his legs amputated.

When he first lost part of his foot, he was determined to stand on his own two feet (literally) and walk (though with the aid of a walker). He was 86 and determined to be mobile on his own. He then had his leg amputated and learned to walk with a prosthetic limb, which I might add, he achieved. He then lost his other leg and finally became wheelchair bound, needing care for nearly everything.

It crushed his pride and frustrated him.

I get really annoyed when people abuse and electric scooters due to laziness, or abuse of rules.

</rant>

OK now for the part that isn't a rant, a couple of stories, now that I'm on the topic of my father. For those of you who met me, you might notice from the following that a rather bizarre sense of humor runs in the family.

[warning, if you're queasy do not read on]

I was with my father in the hospital when he was waiting for the operation to amputate his first leg. The nurse came in with forms for him to sign. He asked the nurse what the forms were for. She told him it was for disposal of the leg. He told the nurse that he wanted the leg back after the operation. She asked him why. My father told the nurse he wanted to make it into a lamp. Both my father and I cracked up as the nurse looked at us in horror.

Next story.

I took my father to a restaurant. We were waiting to get in, and a little kid was staring at my father and asked him what happened to his legs. My father smiled and said, "I was absent minded and forgot them on the bus."

Sorry to barge in on your thread, but we are sailing on the EB and plan to fly into Vegas and then drive to Anaheim a few days before we set sail.

Flying across country was expensive which is why we chose to fly to Vegas instead of LAX (we got a really good deal).

If you have any information or tips about the drive, please share.

Thank you,

Belle

It took us three and a half hours and it was boring. Not much to see, not much going on. Have a safe trip.

Now that is funny!:rotfl2: I love your bizarre sense of humor. We might as well laugh through the hard times. It is better than crying.

And I agree with your rant.:thumbsup2

East Coast of the USA is up and moving.....2 kids off to school already...1 more to go.

Gretchen was nominated for the Principle Award at her school. I was thinking she was nominated cause she got to visit her so much...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

No really, Gretchen is a great kid and everyone loves her. She has to write an essay and have an interview. There are 250 6th graders at her school and 6 were nominated and when I saw the competition, I think she might have a pretty good chance.

We are going to an award ceromony for Vanessa this morning at the high school. WE have a meeting this afternoon with the High Scholl Admin ... they have changed their minds and won't let her walk in Graduation and she is bummed. I am going to pull some strings and see if we can make it happen.

congrats for Gretchen, keep us posted if she wins the award
Good luck for Vanessa. Walking is such a memory and I hope your admin understands that is part of "sharing our culture"

morning all.
all this Vegas talk, that is really not a place I am interested in going. Our friends all love it though. not a place for kids I think.

Seems my thoughts too. We went a few years back, just the two of us for a weekend work offsite. It was bright, but I'd rather sit on a beach anyday over Vegas.

By the way, totally forgot, LISA.....THANK YOU FOR PUTTING ON A GREAT BUNCO EVENT!!!!!! It was a lot of fun and probably a time where I got to meet the most DISers since I didn't make it to most of the events due to kiddos.

Shame on me, Lisa, THANKS FOR BUNCO and thanks again for my winnings
