Were you there the end of April this year?

I know a few people went the last week of April this year. Right around when the kids free/ CA 2 fer deal ended. I'm wondering how the crowds were. We are thinking April 25- May 1, 2007. I'm guessing, based on the last couple years, April 25 should be the end of the 2 fers, and the 26th is the last day of the kids price tickets.

What ya' think, is it good time to go? I was there in early March and early May this year. May was much more pleasant then March- warmer and less crowds. Of course I didnt have kids in tow in May, so that probably made if feel better then it was!

I went to DL this year, the 2nd week of march and last year, the first week of May....it was really cold in march but May was warm enough to wear shorts....when I went in May, it was the day after the 50th celebration started and surprisingly there werent alot of crowds...in March however, there were loads of people...moreso than I thought would be...I would say, anyone going last part of April and first days in May you should have a nice time...of course the way things are now, Mon., Fri., and Sat. are horrid anymore...Fri. being worse than mon. imo....sheesh...anyway weather will be good for you guys...

Linda, I was there for this time period two years in a row. The thing to do is avoid DCA specifically on the last day of the two-fer. It will be busier than DL. Everyone uses the DL first, and saves DCA for the last minute. It's a mess! Other than that, I think it's a great time to go.

OP, thanks for asking this question. We are thinking of going April 24th-28th and I was also wondering if that was an okay time to go. We went the first week in April a couple of years ago, and that was a mistake it was really busy. I think waiting until the end of the month should be much better. (I hope!)

We were supposed to go at the end of April 2006. I chose that timeframe because it was supposed to be after Spring Breaks (and of course to hit the 2-fer deal.) It was supposed to be not very busy, but the month of April was so busy it looked like that last week would be also.

As it turned out, we had to cancel, but I do remember reading from folks that went that week that it was nowhere near as busy as had been expected. So I think it probably is a good time to go.
