After our little meeting with Mulan, we hopped across to the other side of the World Showcase Lagoon. According to the Times Guide, Alice in Wonderland would be out soon and our little girl had to cross her off the list. After a character meeting, she would take her autograph book and flip through the pages and point out who we still had to meet. She was on a mission to get her whole book signed, or at least most of it.
We made a little put stop in Canada. Our little girl has quite the memory so she wanted to stop for quick photo. And the rocket from her bucket of little green aliens had to join her.
When we got to the UK, Alice was not out yet. We were a few minutes early. Mary Poppins was nearby, but our little munchkin wasnt interested in Mary Poppins. She had already met her so she was more focused on Alice. I told her I would go knock on the door of the cottage to see if she was inside.
Since she didnt appear to be home, we had to come up with some other ways to amuse ourselves while we waited for her to come out.
A close up to show you that the rocket had accompanied us once again.
Then realizing that whoops, there are people walking around back here watching me make a fool of myself
Thanks for the heads up honey. I like that my husband just stood there giggling instead.
Once the area was empty once again, we went back to our random posing.
We also walked around and knocked on some more random doors before grabbing a spot in line. And by grabbing a spot, I mean marking our place as first in line. I was desperately hoping with every knock that no one was on the other side otherwise I am sure I would have screamed in shock if the door opened.
Before long, Alice came out to say hello. Complete with her pretty blue cape.
This Alice was super cute. She had the accent down pat and was just so friendly!
I think its funny that she is the same height as our daughter when she is kneeling.
Every princess, character, friend gets a hug goodbye.
Apparently they continued their little chat, though. I cant remember what it was about. But look how picturesque the background is. I think its just lovely and calming.
We finally bid Alice farewell and then took a little detour out of Epcot. My husband is obsessed with the Beach Club and the smell of the lobby. So since we were right next to the International Gateway, he couldnt resist stopping over at the Beach Club. We take this detour at least once or twice a trip he needs his Beach Club fix. Its still his favorite place to stay while on property.
A view of the boardwalk, with the Swan and Dolphin in the background.
Another shot of the Swan and Dolphin.
I have to admit that I loved staying there, even though it does not have the same Disney feeling. I absolutely loved the rooms there and the hotel in general. And the location isnt bad either. And the beds? So heavenly.
A little touch of New England charm to remind us of home while vacationing.
We have made it to our destination.
Someone was in a happy mood. Dont really remember how they got into this pose.
Apparently our little girl couldnt wait to get to the Beach Club either. Like father, like daughter.
Did you think we were done with our little princess poses? Ha, think again!
Seriously, she cant stop posing. Do you see me there? Im like, um, Americas Next Top Model? Or Toddler and Tiaras? I really hope other parents werent walking past going that mom must put her daughter in those crazy pageants, I mean, look at the posing!
But honestly, she just learns all of her poses from her favorite Disney characters. I think this one is the Jessie pose again.
After my husband got in his yearly Beach Club fix, we were back here
.
Up next: more frolicking around Epcot and a yummy dinner
