We're touring Disney like a 3 year old (2TRs in 1!)- UPDATE 5/18 pg. 46

Favorite pictures -

The magic shot with simba. OMG! It's almost like she knew Simba was going to be sitting right there.

The picture of Mulan's kiss. So cute.

That pocohantas is really a beautiful girl. Stunning. And the pictures of pocohantas and your daughter are just too cute.

You are very brave for petting that baby alligator. It is cute - sort -of! :rotfl:

Fun update. Please don't tell me you TR is almost over.

Aww so many characters!! I was going through my baby pictures this past weekend and you are going to be SO HAPPY you have all of these photos. :goodvibes They're too cute!

WS is a fantastic place to meet characters... so I bet you met tons! I can't wait to see who! And I can't wait to hear about your ADR! Any WS Dining experience is always fun to read about. :cloud9:

Fiance and I are loving 'Once Upon a Time'!! It's so good! I wish it was 2 hours long or on every night of the week.

Aw, it looks like she was having a good time with Jiminy "Grasshopper". You remember that story right?

I love that pic of you and her where you're on the elephant. She is totally making a "diva" pose. :cutie:

Message me sometime. I'd love to see who your cell phone company is. Maybe I can text you the pics of Little Guy.

Great character pics! Can't wait to hear who else you were able to find. We did the "World Showcase Character Hunt Marathon" when we were there. Criss-crossing back and forth all afternoon...;)

Aw, we're nearing the end. :(
Oh my goodness, you and your daughter are so brave. I don't think I would ever touch an alligator!
That girl is a beautiful Pocahontas! It's awesome that your daughter loves the characters so much. I think if I had gone to Disney at her age I would have been the exact same way. I used to follow the Hanna Barbara characters around Kings Dominion when I was little. (I figured you might know what that was since you were a Virginian. :goodvibes )
I know I've said it before but she is just the cutest thing. You can't help but smile when you see her smile in these pictures!
Hmmm... my guess would be Aladdin and Jasmine, and Belle and the Beast... possibly Snow White... lots of princesses to be found in World Showcase! Can't wait to see!

Oh! I had to come back like an hour later JUST so I could answer your question at the beginning of the post...

I am watching and I LOVE Once Upon A Time! I know there's only been 3 episodes but I think it's one of the best shows to come around in a while!

First of all, a big "yes" on Once Upon a Time. Sunday nights all 4 of us have been sitting down and watching together and we're hooked :)

The pictures with Pocahontas are so cute! It looks like they had a fun meet.

You got some great photopass pics and I love the magic shot! :thumbsup2

Isn't it just the best show so far? This last episode was sooooo good! It is totally turning me into a Snow White fan. I wasn't a huge fan before, especially because the evil queen/old witch was so scary to me when I was little, but I am loving that she is more than just a girly girl. I love trying to figure out all the different characters.

Thanks! Pocahontas was very interactive with her. So cute.

I was so happy to get the Simba magic shot! I was too shy too ask about it, but the PP photographers that we happened to come across would just pull her aside and do the magic shots.

Thanks! She enjoyed the lipstick mark for about 30 seconds, then she aked us to wipe it off. She can be OCD about being messy.

We are nearing the end, as I think I am on Saturday and our last day at the parks is on Sunday, but we have a nice breakfast ADR on Monday, so there are a few more updates left. And I am debating what to do about our August trip. I don't know if I want to do a full fledged TR or tack it on to this one. We did a few days at disney and some at Universal (yes, we visited the dark side).

I am already so happy that we got a ton of photos over the past few trips. I plan on framing a lot of my favorites and having a "Disney" wall in our living room. I already have a cute photo collage of her first Woody and Jessie meet. I really hope she grows up to love disney like you do! I would love to take a mother daughter trip like you did.

She's already met many of the princesses from earlier in the trip, including your fave. Actually, it would work out well if we ever had a dis meet with you, you could keep Aladdin occupied while my daughter meets Jasmine. ;) She was too afraid of all the guys.

Our dinner was definitely yummy!

Hi Tink! Isn't it just a great show? I totally loved the latest episode. But then again, I loved Lost, so it's no surpise that I would like this show.

I totally remember the Jiminy "Grasshopper" story. I almost mentioned it when I was writing it.

She has definitely got a few poses up her sleeve. That was the pose we got when we asked her to put the Duffy bear down so we could see her face.

I will message you as soon as I finish up the responses here. :goodvibes

Thanks! yes, we tried our best to not do too much criss-crossing. We were lucky that we had seen a lot of the princesses earlier in the trip. Also, DD was good about saying "that line is too long" and deciding to skip a line when it was a long wait. lucky for us.

Aw, we're nearing the end. :(

Yes, the last few days are always a bittersweet feeling to the vacation. You just don't want it to end!

This Pocahontas looked more "real" to me than the first one. And she was more interactive too.

Um, I totally know what you are talking about with Kings Dominion. I think i might have a photo somewhere of when I was really young with some of the characters. I don't think I was as excited about seeing them as my daughter is, though. I totally loved that park!

Thanks, I find her smile to be pretty infectious too. and she is just so happy at Disney! Hmm, we'll have to see about your guesses, but I do have to say that she has already met Jasmine (and kinda met Aladdin).

I agree! I was totally missing Lost since it ended, and the feeling I would get watching that show. I couldn't wait for the next episode, and this is how I feel about this show. I am starting to become a Snow White fan, too, after this episode. I love her spunk!

Haha, I figured you'd know! I wish I could find some old KD pics! They don't do Hanna Barbara anymore, it's like Peanuts characters and Nickelodeon now, at least I THINK they still have Nickelodeon? It's been a while since I've been too. :(

Oh right... I forgot she'd already seen Jasmine! Well, we'll see if my other guesses were correct. ;)

I KNOW, I love this show! It's VERY well done. I agree about Snow White! I can't help but wonder what she could have done to the Evil Queen. Also, it's a lot of fun to figure out who each Storybrooke person would be as a fairy tale character... who do you think the young police officer is supposed to be? :confused3

Love the pocahontas meet sounds soooooo cute!

I love your Conjuction Junction reference. Todd & I sing those songs all the time. We always sing "Beans & Rice, So Nice!" when we are having that for dinner. :rotfl: My other favorite was "I'm just a Bill".

The picture with Pocohantus is really good! Great picture of both of them. The people who have to be "face" characters must be the best people to know in real life. They always amaze me with how sweet they are to young children. That is a special gift.

I think my favorite picture this update is the 2 of you when you are sitting on the elephant. The expression on her face is so cute!

Thanks, it was pretty cute! I love when the face characters play right along with the kids.

I think all of my old KD pics are at home with my parents. Hmmm, those characters sound like fun (for my DD at least) too. I haven't been in forever! Oh the memories.

I know! It's funny, the other night at work, my friend and I sat there for horus talking about the show and trying to figure out who the characters were. We think the police office guy might be the Huntsman? The one who was supposed to kill Snow White, but let her go? He seems like he works for the Evil Queen, but has a kind heart, you know? I guess we'll have to wait and see. My friend was the one who picked up on the 2 dwarfs in the modern day, I didn't quite catch that. Do you think Regina/Evil Queen remembers the fairy tale world?

Um, yet one more reason that we should meet up. Do you watch Glee? If so, did you love when Gwenyth sang Conjunction Junction? Cuz I did. I bet we would have a blast going through the old school pop songs that we were obsessed with too. And reminiscing about the MMC.

Yes, I really think the face characters have to be amazingly sweet and patient people. But then again, I would love to know that I was creating a magical moment for a little kid.

Um, I think that may have been her "diva" facial expression. The - I guess I'll out my Duffy bear down so you can take yet another picture - face.

OH! Yes! I bet yall are completely right, he has to be the huntsman! Good thinking! I honestly never even thought of that.
I picked up on Grumpy right away, but for some reason not Sleepy until later! Yeah, I think Regina remembers everything about fairy tale world because she seems to be trying really hard to prevent Snow White and 'James' from being together, and the fact that her father's name was Henry and she named her son that... and I think there's more to her wanting to get Emma out of Storybrooke than the Henry thing, I also think it's because she figured out who she is... I could be completely wrong though! What a great show. :)

Did you watch laast night's episode? I just saw it and I think it looks more and more like the sheriff is the huntsman.

and how creepy is Rumplestilskin in the fairytale world? So creepy!

I do like how the fairytale characters and "royalty" intermingle.

I did! Poor Cinderella. I can't believe we have to wait 2 weeks for another episode, haha, I'm addicted.
Rumpelstiltskin is super creepy. Everything about him. Why is his skin grey?! I don't understand!
I like that too. They're all one big happy family. :goodvibes

I know, 2 more weeks?! His skin, his mannerisms, and his eyes? Super creepy. Not as bad in the "real world" as Mr. Gold, but in the fairytale world, I would be running in the opposite direction if I saw him.

It was so fun to see the princes scheming together. Can't wait to hear baout Belle's storyline and Sleeping Beauty. But I think that's still a month or two away!

So I know it's a bit late, but I forgot to post it a while back. Here is a photo of our little girl as Rapunzel this Halloween. I don't know if you can tell, but she has a little clip on blonde hair piece. The full on wig freaked her out.

Now on to a quick little update.

After our little meeting with Mulan, we hopped across to the other side of the World Showcase Lagoon. According to the Times Guide, Alice in Wonderland would be out soon and our little girl had to cross her off the list. After a character meeting, she would take her autograph book and flip through the pages and point out who we still had to meet. She was on a mission to get her whole book signed, or at least most of it.

We made a little put stop in Canada. Our little girl has quite the memory so she wanted to stop for quick photo. And the rocket from her bucket of little green aliens had to join her.

ry%3D400

When we got to the UK, Alice was not out yet. We were a few minutes early. Mary Poppins was nearby, but our little munchkin wasn’t interested in Mary Poppins. She had already met her so she was more focused on Alice. I told her I would go knock on the door of the cottage to see if she was inside.

ry%3D400

Since she didn’t appear to be home, we had to come up with some other ways to amuse ourselves while we waited for her to come out.

ry%3D400

A close up to show you that the rocket had accompanied us once again.

ry%3D400

Then realizing that “whoops, there are people walking around back here watching me make a fool of myself”

ry%3D400

Thanks for the heads up honey. I like that my husband just stood there giggling instead.

ry%3D400

Once the area was empty once again, we went back to our random posing.

ry%3D400

We also walked around and knocked on some more random doors before grabbing a spot in line. And by grabbing a spot, I mean marking our place as first in line. I was desperately hoping with every knock that no one was on the other side otherwise I am sure I would have screamed in shock if the door opened.

Before long, Alice came out to say hello. Complete with her pretty blue cape.

ry%3D400

This Alice was super cute. She had the accent down pat and was just so friendly!

ry%3D400

I think it’s funny that she is the same height as our daughter when she is kneeling.

ry%3D400

Every princess, character, friend gets a hug goodbye.

ry%3D400

Apparently they continued their little chat, though. I can’t remember what it was about. But look how picturesque the background is. I think it’s just lovely and calming.

ry%3D400

We finally bid Alice farewell and then took a little detour out of Epcot. My husband is obsessed with the Beach Club and the “smell” of the lobby. So since we were right next to the International Gateway, he couldn’t resist stopping over at the Beach Club. We take this detour at least once or twice a trip – he needs his Beach Club fix. It’s still his favorite place to stay while on property.

A view of the boardwalk, with the Swan and Dolphin in the background.

ry%3D400

Another shot of the Swan and Dolphin.

ry%3D400

I have to admit that I loved staying there, even though it does not have the same Disney feeling. I absolutely loved the rooms there and the hotel in general. And the location isn’t bad either. And the beds? So heavenly.

A little touch of New England charm to remind us of home while vacationing.

ry%3D400

We have made it to our destination.

ry%3D400

Someone was in a happy mood. Don’t really remember how they got into this pose.

ry%3D400

Apparently our little girl couldn’t wait to get to the Beach Club either. Like father, like daughter.

ry%3D400

Did you think we were done with our little princess poses? Ha, think again!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Seriously, she can’t stop posing. Do you see me there? I’m like, um, America’s Next Top Model? Or Toddler and Tiaras? I really hope other parents weren’t walking past going that mom must put her daughter in those crazy pageants, I mean, look at the posing!

ry%3D400

But honestly, she just learns all of her poses from her favorite Disney characters. I think this one is the Jessie pose again.

ry%3D400

After my husband got in his yearly Beach Club fix, we were back here….

ry%3D400

Up next: more frolicking around Epcot and a yummy dinner
