We're Sailing to....Disneyland? Lots of Pics! GANGSTA KINGDOM 8/31

Minnie reminds me so much of my DD. She barely has any hair too. :cutie:

Last time I was at DL I decided to ride Splash Mountain at night as well. I was soaked! :scared1: And I wasn't drying off anytime soon, so I had to find a store that sold sweats on mainstreet. We had a one hour drive back to SanDiego that night and I wasn't about to stay in my wet clothes for that long.

Still loving your trip report. ;)

Tammie - you've really made me want to go to DL someday!!!! It looks awesome! Glad to hear that you and Jiminy got your night out, too. ;) ;)

We lost our photos too from me procrastinating. I will not allow it to happen on our next trip. I was kicking myself for the waste of time! We had to wait in long lines for some of the photos. I never even got to view them. It just seemed like such a long time away at the time (the thirty days.) I like the runaway train ride at night idea. I prefer dark coasters like Space Mtn, so I bet I'd love the big thunder mtn after dark.

Sorry you missed your photo pass opportunity!

Our deadline is coming up the 17th! It feels like you have a long time when you first look at your deadline date then WHAM-O...it's over.

Great update :)

Don't let thats deadline pass :scared1: Thanks for reading!

Your DD is so cute! You're right - they do have the same hairdo! :lmao:
I had never been more than just splashed on Splash before :rolleyes1

Come on out here! It is really fun - you just have to realize it's different in CA than in WDW.

I am so frustrated - I'm sure I won't miss out next time. I did love BTMRR at night - really different! Thanks for coming along for the ride! :thumbsup2

Hey! You escaped! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: How do you like where you are now - warmer at least! :thumbsup2 I always hate that we don't get Summer for sure until July and we start getting frost in September. Thanks for jumping on - hope you enjoy!

I do love it in Nashville - it is SO different and I am SO a west coast kind of gal! But it's all about the experience, and this is DEFINITELY one!

I don't miss the short summer season, but believe it or not I DO miss our old wood burning stove! I never thought I'd utter those words when we were stuck on the east side of Quartz Mountain in the dead of winter! :rotfl:

My family would have killed me if I took pics of food - they were having nightmares thinking that if I wore my LGMH on my bag, we were going to be swarmed by hourds of DISers saying things like, "my DISboard name is Nerd247 - what's yours?" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My husband has NO idea what he's in for... our first trip to the World is in January and there WILL be food porn and LGMHs... I cannot wait! :woohoo:

Oh yeah, backing up to a hot wood stove in the Winter - nothing like it!

Your DH will catch on fast! :rotfl2:

That's the only way to "do" Disney, right? :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Nerd247 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I LOVE the pictures. And Princess Minnie surveying her kingdom... :lovestruc

On this our last day at DLR, we were awakened again by Mickey, and we were up and out early for rope drop! :thumbsup2

We headed over to Fantasyland so we could get on Dumbo first thing! Jiminy ran over to "Otopio" to get us a FP for later. Now, if you recall from the PTR, or from my June 2007 TR, I had never ridden Dumbo. This was a quest for me this time - it's a classic! Who doesn't ride Dumbo? :confused3

So at long last I got to ride my flying elephant! Tink, Minnie and I rode this one. The boys waited and Donald was happy to wave at us as we went by. I think at one time he was really worried about us! :lmao:

Here is Donald's version of the ride:

We stopped by to see if he could be King Arthur - nope:

Donald wanted to give us all a ride:

Goofy, Tink, Minnie and I took a teacup for a spin! Papa and Myles waved happily from the sidelines - Papa does not spin around in circles!

Funny, sometimes the simplest rides have the longest lines - Tink really wanted to ride the Storybook boat, so we stood in line for about 40 minutes. They finally brought out a third boat to run, and got the line moving.

We ran into this guy, who told us we were late for toontown!

We opted out of Roger Rabbit, since Donald didn't want to do it. We did take photos in his car, though.

I have to go, but I'll be back with more fun pics later!

Tammie - I LOVE the Dumbo ride! It's the one ride I make sure I do with Amanda every year, just me and her - no matter what!

Tammie, y'all look like you're having so much fun in all your pics! And can you believe I have NEVER ridden Dumbo? :confused3

We did have alot of fun! My younger kids are really funny!

We've got Kara's must-do ride for next Sept.:thumbsup2

I did enjoy it! I think we should do it twice, cuz Kara and I have missed out so many times! :thumbsup2

Do they have that one at MK? I think it might be DL only. It was really cute - anti climatic for how long we waited, but still cute. They had little miniature villages from fairytales and disney movies. The CM driving the boat narrated to tell us what everything was - as though it were all true - very cute!

The clock struck 11 and Goofy came out of Town Hall in a little ceremony, and then Minnie came out. She passed through where we were standing and stopped to pose with the family.

We headed over to the neighborhood to see the celebrity's houses.
