I decided to take messages for Minnie

We headed over to Mickey's House:

Chip and Dale's treehouse:

Tink and I sat down on the bench to wait for the boys with Minnie. Minnie went nuts because she thinks Chip N Dale are dogs! She kept trying to climb up there and said, "dog! dog" She loves Chip N Dale! She goes crazy every time she sees them, even now.

Sadly, now that she has shown us her favorite characters, we could not buy them anywhere! We asked in the park and were told to go to WOD in DTD - only pins. I have been looking on Ebay, but have only found the Japanese style ones with huge eyes, or the really old ones from the 50's. Anyone out there know a source? :confused3

Goofy's House next:

I was looking through the pics for the next post, and I found a couple I forgot to place in the right order.

Me and my baby boy on the teacups:

Donald waving happily to us while we waited in line for Peter Pan, which I didn't mention above. We had a fun ride on PP - Goofy, Tink and Minnie rode in one ship, and I rode in the one behind them by myself! I love this ride!

Minnie laughed and waved all the way through - she loved all of the bright colors!

This was the only group photo we got with our pirate shirts this day - a nice lady took our pic for us - never found a photopass person, except on main street

We spent some time in a play area outside Goofy's house - it is a fun little area with things to climb on, a slide and the floor is pieces of cut up foam so it's really soft. It is in the shade, and there are plenty of benches around for parents to sit on while the kiddos play. Goofy got us a smoothy at a little hut right next door.

Side Note: We found quite a few pieces of trash throughout all of the character homes - we felt like we were on trash patrol. I can't believe that many people were leaving trash all over.

We headed over to Donald's Boat

It was time to head to Tomorrowland and ride "Otopio" and have some lunch.

As we were walking along, Alice came skipping up with Mad Hatter and the Rabbit - she spotted Minnie and came running up to the stroller! She leaned over and spoke to Donald and Minnie and called them by name! Now their names were on their shirts, but she was the same Alice as we saw at Goofy's Kitchen, and she seemed to remember us! She asked if we were having a wonderful visit to DL!

After the big race,

we ate a nice lunch at Tomorrowland Terrace - we had to hurry because they were getting ready to do the Jedi Training for Star Wars weekend, and Donald was freaking out! :scared:

Next: More Swimmin' and Eatin' and Sleepin'

It seems like there is a lot more to Toontown at DL!

Looks like you had a fun day!

That's so crazy that you can't find Chip and Dale stuff anywhere. Not even at DL. I have no idea where you would even look for it.

Why would anyone leave trash in Mickey and Minnie's houses? I would never go to someone's house and leave trash there!

Oh how I miss Disneyland! I used to take my oldest kids to lunch at Daisy's Diner when they had the black lunch boxes for kids meals, and we'd eat and watch the characters come and go..

sigh.

I liked your tr and all the pics. Thank you! We're staying at the DLH this winter for the very first time. I hope we get a room w/ a view.

Tammie - Toontown seems better in DL! Loved all the pics!

Oh, We got both stuffed Chip n Dale in 2005 at the Pop Century gift shop, and I've seen them all over WDW. PM me if you want me to look for you next month!!!

Love your report! Your grandkids are so cute (especially Minnie--she's a trooper to go on all those rides!)

I think Toontown is a little bigger at DL. We saw alot more this year by just taking time to explore. I couldn't believe the trash, either. So inconsiderate :sad2:

Hi, thanks for all the great pictures.

Thanks for reading!

That area looked so cute - we tried to order something to drink, but it seemed everything was closed - I thought it was because it was morning. Do they actually open any of those little food places?

Thanks for coming along. I hope you do get a room with a view. It seems like you'll have a good chance. The buildings are in a U shape around the pool, so 3 sides face the pool, and 1 side facing DL and parking, 1 side facing DTD directly, and one side the city.

Thanks Kara! I'll PM you.

Thanks! She is our little daredevil.

Such fun pics!! I absolutely love those matching t shirts!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliments. Tink and I had fun getting the designs from the generous folks on the DISign board.

I was at the Disney Store last week and saw some Chip n' Dale items. I would check out your local DS?

Thank you for the tip - I will try. Our "local" DS is about 5 hrs away, I think. :goodvibes We are going about 3 hrs away to a place with a couple of malls at the end of the month - I'll look there.

Well, this TR is coming to a close quickly - I'll be back tomorrow with more!

Just found (well, actually a few days ago) but I just caught up to reading the end of your thread so far. :lovestruc your trip report!

Also, thanks for turning me on to the DISign boards. I'm always looking at the DL section, that I didn't even know it existed.
Had a question about:
Tues, July 1st

We were dressed in matching "Team Manfull" shirts with baseball Mickey ears. We are a baseball family, so we loved this design! (Thanks DISign boards!)

:lovestruc the baseball mickey heads. Can you tell me the name of the DISigner? There are so many to look through that I haven't been able to find it yet. Thanks for the help.;)

Can't wait to read more about your trip!! popcorn::

Thanks for joining in! Here is a link to the design we used - from RumblyTumbly. We copied and pasted it to Microsoft Paint, then put in our own Title on the bottom, and then saved it to My Pictures for printing.

Have fun!

That's so cute! Thanks for sharing!

I promise to post an update really soon! I can't believe it takes this long to get one done.

A missing note from the last update - after autopia and before lunch, Goofy and Tink decided to check out Innoventions. We waited for them for about 45 minutes! They said this was the biggest waste of space and time they had every seen. :sad2: It is touted as a fun explortion of the home of the future, but you are trapped in this revolving demonstration of some pretty non-innovative technology as you move from area to area - you really can't get out. We took the kids into the gift shop for a little while, and picked up a few things for our grandson back home.

We were visiting with Alice when I left off - it was now nappie time! So our young family went back to the hotel for nap time, and Jiminy and I rode Space Mtn, did a little shopping for our DS and DDIL back at home, and then headed over for a little California Adventure! We walked around a little and headed over to TOT for some FPs for Goofy and Tink for later.

Funny story: We headed up to the front of the park, and decided to stop in at Bur-r-rbank Ice Cream for a treat. The CM at the counter, as my DH said, seemed like she usually works at TOT and forgot to get out of character! :lmao: As we walked up, she looked up and stared at us with no expression on our faces. She just stared until we ordered. Then she told us the total in a monotone. She handed us our change and then stared again - and kept staring. When I got a little uncomfortable, I asked, "do we pick up our order here?" She kept staring stone-faced and nodded her head toward her left. "Oh, over here?" She nodded her head slowly up and down without breaking that cold stare.
Another CM walked up and gave us our waffle cones.

We left feeling totally creeped out! :rotfl2: We walked out to DTD, and sat on a bench to finish the ice cream and people watch. I got a phone call from a client back home, which I took care of, and then we headed to the hotel to get ready for the pool.

Everyone was asleep when we got back to the room, so Jiminy and I got our suits on and found our favorite bartender, got a "captains Mai Tai" for me and a vitamin water for DH. We headed over to the quiet pool and found some chairs for all of us. I settled back and read for awhile, and took a family pic for some people in the pool. The rest of our group came down and got in the other small pool in the area, and I decided to take a little nap. I had some beach towels and baby clothes and sandals on the chair next to me, and I was leaning my hand on that chair while I read my book. Just as I got sleepy, I was startled awake by someone jarring my chair.

I looked up, and there were a couple of "swimming moms" there with their kids. Of all the empty chairs that were lined up, one of them decided that she had to sit on our chair in the middle of our baby clothes :confused3 She and her friend proceeded to loudly bark orders at their wonderful star swimmers in the pool, scoot "my" chair around, and brag loudly about their kids' accomplishments and swim coaches. :hippie:

Deciding that I wasn't going to get any rest here, I retrieved my stuff from under her butt, and headed over to the other pool. I got in the pool with the kids for a while, and then we decided to head back to DL for a bit.

We got dressed and headed over to the Happiest Place on Earth! Now I do apologize, but my camera battery died, so I don't have alot more pics. I have a few that I got from Tink. We did some shopping on Main Street, then headed back over to Frontierland for some more shootin' and to make some pressed pennies. While there, we did happen to catch these "sleepy Peeps" (shout out to JordanYosh)

We decided to eat at Rancho del Zocalo - the boys headed over to order dinner. The girls stopped at the Tiki Juice Bar to score another Dole Whip float for dessert for everyone. When we joined the boys, we found a table out on the patio with (close your eyes Dawn and Julie) the BIRDS! :scared1: They are just tiny little sparrows, not threatening. Anyway, they have delicious Mexican food here.

After dinner and dessert, we took the kids back to the hotel for storytime with Cinderella on TV, and Goofy and Tink stayed out and played. I'm not sure what they did - I know that they went to CA and everything was closing early so they didn't get to ride TSM or TOT. :confused3 They waited in a really long line at DL for something, and then shopped and watched the fireworks. They didn't come in until 1am - I'm glad they stayed out and had fun - they don't get to go out much.

Next: Sad to leave

Sorry It's taking so long to finish - you will be writing yours by the time I'm done! :goodvibes
