We're Sailing to....Disneyland? Lots of Pics! GANGSTA KINGDOM 8/31

Hi, where does the Mr Toad Ride fit into your shedule? Ive herd this is a must do ride and did not see it on your list.

:cool1: Whoo a Disneyland pre-trippie for me to read. Looking at your itinerary I do have some comments.

On your first Disneyland day, what time does the park open? You really should plan to hit Fantasyland first at park opening, do Dumbo and then Peter Pan, Tea Cups.

Ok I have lots more to comment on your park touring plans, but I've got to get ready for work, so I'll be back later this afternoon.

I'm at work, but I had to edit because about half way to work it hit me that I had made a very embaressing error in what I was talking about this morning.

I still will be back this afternoon with park touring suggestions, I just had to let my coffee kick in before I start talking about which rides are in which parks.

Yeah! I'd love you to think this through with me. Don't get in trouble at work. They might ban the DIS :scared1: The park opens at 8am - I think we had Morning Madness or whatever they call it down for 7am that day - so we thought we'd get Toon Town out of the way and then head straight for Fantasyland. The only thing is - I think Toon Town usually opens an hour after the park - so we'd need to be both places at once - I might have to talk DDIL into switching the times - I don't think the lines in Toon Town are as long? :confused3

Have you ever been to P.F.Changs? I love that place. We had a few in NJ; but only one in Boston. Past few years, more are popping up around here. Was so excited they went into the mall by me that just had a major renovation. Now, I can get my fix - the sea bass w/sauteed spinach - !

No - I should check it out - JordanYosh suggested it.

Sounds like fun! The more the merrier, right?

In most cases :rolleyes1 Hey! Did you get to DL yet? It's April! I see your ticker says 13 days to half marathon - is that combined with this trip, I can't remember.

We talked about Mr. Toad, but Donald doesn't like the dark much - somehow 2D posters jumping out at him in the dark just didn't seem like a good idea - and we really aren't impressed - have you ridden it? What did you think?

:confused3 That doesn't sound right. Toontown usually opens and hour after the park does, except on it's Morning Madness days, that you have to have tickets for, then it opens an hour earlier.

I would not try to do Fantasyland and Toontown Morning Madness on the same day. Especially since you want to do Dumbo.

I forget, and I'm to lazy to go back and look, are you guys staying at a Disney hotel or do you have 3 day or more park hoppers? Then you will get at least one Magic Morning which is when you should aim to do Fantasyland.

I'll look more closely at your touring plan again tomorrow. I ran out of time tonight.

I think we are saying the same thing - if Toon Town opens an hour after the park, then the extra early hour would be the same time as park opening, right? Which things in Toon Town would have huge lines?

We are at DLH, so I guess we get perks, and we'll have 3 day park hoppers, but I'm a little confused about how many early entries that is, and will we be able to get on the monorail early? :confused3

Yes, then Toon Town opening will be the same as the park opening. Do Minnie and Mickey's houses first, then the roller coaster, and then Roger Rabbit. Explore everything else as needed.

You would get one MM with the 3 day park hopper, but by staying at DLH you are eligible for MM every morning it's offered during your stay. Plan on doing Fantasyland during a MM morning. I believe the monorail does run early on those days, but I'm not positive.

No, I havnt rode Mr Toad yet, its one of our Trip Planners favorite rides at DisneyLand. Ive only been to WDW.

I think it's definately one to ride at least once and say you did :) You'll have to do DLR some time! You will recognize most of the rides from WDW - all in two parks, plus a few that aren't out there. Overall, I find the rides at DL to be longer and better, but the feeling is quite different from the World. You have to appreciate each park separately, I think.

Mostly bumping here, but we did a shirt for a neighbor girl last night and it turned out really cute, so I know we're ready to do ahead with our shirt plans!

I want to relay the story - it is so sweet. Kelsey is my friend's daughter - just turned 13. She and three other girls have been friends with Amy, who has Down's Syndrome, all through school. They have been her lifeline when other kids were mean. Anyway, Amy's parents surprised the girls last Friday by telling them that they are taking all 4 of them to Disneyland to celebrate Amy's 13th birthday, and as a thank you for being so nice to Amy! They got a character call from Crush to announce the trip! Kelsey has only been to DL for a day as a small child - she called me right away because she was so excited and she knew I would be excited for her!

It's so nice to see a child get rewarded for just doing the right thing.

Thanks for reading.

Hey Tammie - Are you using the shirt designs you had posted earlier? I, of course, have still not gotten around to looking at any designs. Don't think I'll have shirts for my June trip - but still may try for the Nov. trip.

Hi Cammie! Yes, it is the Mickey head design with a character next to it. We did Pooh for Kelsey with her name in the middle and 08 in one ear.
It turned out good, but it was a transfer for "light" t shirts and this one was red. We didn't realize there was a difference until last minute, so just went with it. Kelsey's name was red, but the yellow on Pooh was a little orange - looked okay in the sunlight.

The shirts are really easy - let me know if you decide to do them, I'll send you in the right direction.

I forgot to mention that we got our Ressies for Goofy's Kitchen!   I remembered on 04/30. We made ressies for 10 people for June 29th at 6pm! I was planning on DB maybe coming, wasn't sure if he would want to have dinner with us or not. Anyway, we're asking DHs uncle first, so there will only be 9 of us if they come. We could always add 4 more - we'll see what happens! Anyway, I'm excited to have my :bday: at Goofy's Kitchen! :dance3:

Yeah! A poster! I thought I'd already lost my audience! :goodvibes

Alot of posters have said that Ontario is the cheapest - it's about a 45 min drive when there is not much traffic. Mon-Fri from 5am - 10am and from 4pm - 7pm are not the right times to be driving anywhere if you can help it. LAX is a total nightmare IMHO.

We always fly in to John Wayne International in Orange County. It is about 20 min from Disneyland, and it's where our family always wants to pick us up. The traffic is usually not too bad from there.

There is apparently a Disneyland shuttle you can pay for if staying on-site, you can get it at either LAX or JW.

BTW, I read your TR, I was just so late to the party, I didn't comment - looks like you guys had a crazy time and you're planning to go again? Or are you thinking DL next time?

:cool1: :cool1: Got our tax returns, so we'll be purchasing our Park Hoppers this weekend. We can save $30 each off the gate price at disney.com. That is about the best discount we can find.($159) Once TA had them for $154, so I think I'd rather just deal with Disney.

We're also going to work on our shirts this weekend! I'll post pics when we get them done! Feels like we're getting close!

Whoo hoo on tickets. Can't wait to see the shirts.
