WONDERful Alaska for Gold! 8/11/25-8/18/25

Thanks for your fantastic trip report! We're sailing the Wonder to Alaska next August so this was an amazing preview. :)
Thanks for reading! I hope it's helpful for people researching. Enjoy the cruise next summer! We can't believe what gorgeous weather we had this time. First Alaska cruise was mostly rainy/misty/overcast.

Thanks for the great trip report! We are doing Alaska on the Magic this coming June. It will be our first time to Alaska, we are checking off the bucket list cruises one by one. Great to read about your experience and pick up some good tips!

Thanks for reaching! Enjoy your Alaska cruise next year! I think the Magic has a dry dock/refurb in May, so it'll be bright and shiny for you. I love the shows on the Magic, looking forward to seeing them again in 2027.

Sounds lovely! We're going to Alaska on the Magic next year. I've been a couple times on the Wonder and thought it would be nice to do the Magic for something different, but your report is making me miss the Wonder. I live in San Diego so I'm taking a weekend cruise on the Wonder - but not until 2027. Such a long wait!

This was a wonderful trip report! Thanks for posting!

I have to comment on the Nurnburger your husband had: I am from Nuremberg, home of the Nuremberg sausage - in German Nürnberger Würstchen. But the real thing does not look in any way like that thing from the MDR. See picture. Yes, sausages are tiny, hence three in a crusty roll.

😂 I am not surprised the real Nuremberg sausage looks nothing like Disney's Americanized version. I looked closer at DHs pic, looks like multiple sausages but they're drowning in Swiss? cheese. I was too tipsy from my wine tasting to notice anything...it's just lucky I took pics!

thanks for the trip report! were doing the wonder to alaska may 2026!
