Today is our last, full day. I just hate that, but decided not to think about it. We slept in a little today and then had breakfast at Tubbies. Again, I love eating here for breakfast, only $8.
Then off to AK. We did the Safari, the trails, dinosaur, PW, ITTBAB, the bird show, and I think that's all.
We traveled back to the Beach Club by 1:00 and enjoyed a burger at Beaches and Cream. After that we swam till about 5.
The evening was spent at Magic Kingdom. The only reason I woud set foot in MK on a Saturday was because this was the only night for Spectro. So brave it we did. We had dinner at Pecos Bills and then staked out our spot. We sat on the bridge into Liberty Square. While there we got to watch a psychology lesson. There is a cannon on this bridge. It doesn't move and has no buttons on it, but little boys are fascinated with it. All ages of boys (1-90) We saw one family stop and the little boy bounded out of his stroller. The dad said, "It goes boom." The look of awe on the boys face was amazing. He played with it until his dad drug him away. His big sister was bored to death. We saw this over and over. Pretty fun to watch. We were told we couldn't sit here about 45 before the parade. I would not have been upset if the CM had explained what the problem was, but she just told us to move, this place cannot be used.
We moved across the bridge and sat across the street from the Christmas shop. Stephen was pretty upset when he saw a bunch of people sitting right where we were. And the rude CM was playing happily with the guests there. If we had been told it was reserved for special guests or something, it would have been better. We were made to feel like we had done something wrong. I wrote a letter to WDW recounting this "unmagical" event. I haven't heard from them.
Anyway, we sat waiting and started talking to a family behind us, very southern. Everytime the mom had a question, she'd call me Ms. Colorado, because we didn't exchange names. I gave all sorts of tips about the parade and WDW as a whole. It was a nice way to pass the time.
The parade was as great as always. We were pretty close, so I felt like a part of it all.
After the parade, we slipped over to Fantasy Land on a path right by the snack shop we were sitting in front of. It goes behind the castle and in front of Cinderella's fountain. We wandered FL and headed to Future World to stand on the bridge to watch the fireworks. After the show, we sat on a bench and let the crowds abate. It was a nice evening in MK and we never even rode a ride.
We slowly walked to the busses and were met by the masses. It was a madhouse. The lines for the All Stars and Carribean Beach were hundreds of people long. A CB bus came and the entire crowd applauded. I felt so sorry for all these people. It was going to take a long time to get them all to their respective resorts. They were not happy.
After finding the end of the Swan/Dolphin line, we took it. We were headed to the Boardwalk and didn't want to keep looking for the Beach Club or Boardwalk. We got on the next bus and got off at the Swan. Walked to the Boardwalk for street shows and dessert (crepe on a stick and vanilla malt. I know, I know, we're in a rut)
Tomorrow we go home, but we don't catch the Mears shuttle till 4:00 so we still have time for more fun tomorrow.
