When I had my point and shoot it stayed on auto most of the time. I think the main reason I got the Nikon D40 was because I could take multiple pictures per second. I hated that the point and shoot took like 5 seconds in between pictures. I missed to many of Madeline's cute moments because i was waiting for the camera to be ready. It took me a year before I really got interested in how my Nikon really works. I 've finally ventured out of auto mode on it.

We've been looking at pictures of the Disney rides. The rides Madeline really wants to ride are the 40" height required rides. Every time she sees a picture of Splash, Thunder Mountain, Mission Space ect. ect. she says "Me Ride!!" and when I tell her she's not big enough she gets really sad. I hope she doesn't freak out when we go on and she can't.


This weeks mission is to clean, clean, clean! I want to have a clean house to come home to!

Emily wants to go on all of the big rides too! The good thing there is usually things to distract her with while we switch off. Splash & MS have a play area at the exits and most of the other rides have the stores at the exit. Emily can always find something in the store to keep her busy!

I know you will be able to distract her with other fun things to do... it's been so long since we have been with little ones....packing bubbles for times when we do not have access to play areas...

oh I didn't realize there was play area outside of MS. Is it a playground or a water thing? I've never seen the playground outside of splash in person (has it always been there?) I have seen pictures of it and it looks like Madeline will enjoy it.

Oh wow closets. I'm not getting that thorough (although I did put all of M's clothes into bins that are too small 2 weeks ago) I'm just making sure we're deep down clean.

So I just got done cleaning the 1/2 bath and the master bath. Just have Madeline's bath to do later. I think I"ll wait with the other cleaning til later in the week or it will get dirty again before then

Madeline's in a new phase where she wants to help me clean. The bathroom isn't exactly the best place to do that. I let her swish the toilet brush in the toilet. lol

Characters in Flight. I'm thinking about doing this when we're there.


I have always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon. In fact my dream was to be proposed to in the hot air balloon. lol That didn't happen but I think I can finagle a ride on Characters in Flight!

It's almost time! 4 days to go. We got our code for the door of the condo yesterday along with the directions! If I can just get through today the rest of the week should fly by. I have no energy today but unfortunately for me Madeline has a full tank of it.

Yeah that will have to do. After we got engaged DH tells me "I was going to propose to you in CA in a hot air balloon but I didn't want to wait" (we were going to CA the next month) lol

I think I may just take a nap when Madeline does today.

Here comes a VENT! So the night my mom brought home the new van I saw an ad on TV about a free DVD player. I mentioned it to my mom so she called the guy. He finally called her back today and said "yes, but it's only on factory installed players". Thing is if the guy would have TOLD my mom this when she bought the thing she would have gotten the van with the thing in it. Also when she was there shopping for the van they guy asked her if she wanted a DVD player and she said "Only if it's free". The guy then showed her the one withOUT the dvd player.

She's calling him back.


I also just mopped my floor. I was trying to change the mop head and the stupid thing broke so I had to do it on my hands and knees. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

So glad I'm leaving in 4 days!

I'd be P.O.'d if I were your Mom! I wouldn't call, I would take the van back and DEMAND one with the DVD. Nothing can be done over the phone, in person is much better when dealing with car sales people. They're ruthless!

I would be upset too! Sounds like the salesman was taking advantage of your Mom. I would take the van to the dealership and speak to the sales manager. Your mother was definitely mistreated.

Everyone hates car shopping with my dad; my mom says he is the biggest jerk in the world. Your mom needs to go and see the dealership owner/manager.

But, you cannot be nice or meek when you purchase a vehicle. They need your sale; you don't need their purchase. That is what my dad always says! I think he may be right on that one. Danny is always mister nice guy; when we purchased our mustang (second hand--from a dealership) I would not sign the papers until they replaced the carpet and we ended up with Free floor mats. and I was not ugly just stood my ground!

She's waiting for another call from the guy. She also has the contact info for the costomer service person so if she doesn't get anywhere when the guy calls her back she'll contact that person.

It's just hard cause she doesnt' have much time before our trip. She has a full time job and a lot of other obligations (I've never seen anyone work as hard and do as much as my mom!)

It'll get figured out I'm sure but probably not til after our LONG drive. Ah well.
