We're not having a baby so let's go to Disney World. May 2009 PTR. We're HOME.

wow- I love vacations! We just found out that my BIL is getting married- they just got engaged and the wedding is going to be in AUGUST- in Chicago!:scared1:

Where is California is the wedding?

Wayne and I went to Vegas in May (3 years ago)- it was AWSOME!!!! We had so much fun- we stayed at the Bellagio- So beautiful!! We keep talking about trying to get back there, but its hard because that is a no kid trip- and lately if we are going to spend all that money on vacation we feel that the kids should be with us.

So you'll be in my neck of the woods in August :thumbsup2

The wedding is in Ripon CA. I think that's considered the central valley. It's near Modesto and about an hour from Sacramento.

We were in Vegas in early 2005 and got suckered into buying a time share. We gave our first week to my sister for her wedding in 2007 and they exchanged it to go to Palm Springs. We banked last years week and get another week next year. So we'll use last years week to go next year and then bank next years week. We were planning on being able to trade the weeks for Disney Vacation club but they no longer trade through our same company :headache: Anyway our condo in Vegas is supposed to have an amazing pool with a lazy River. We'll be bringing Madeline with us and also Eric's brother. We're hoping he'll watch her for a night so we can go to a show. Last time we were there we stayed at the Ex Calibur and I had also gone in Jan 2002 and stayed at the Mirage. I enjoyed both hotels. I'm thinking we'll probably rent a car so we can go other places too.

I cant believe your ticker says 9 days- wow! You must be so excited.
Vegas sounds like a great trip. Yes we go to see him each year- I really like Chicago!! We did one of those tours on the water and saw all the bridges and riverfront- so pretty.

I've gone on that tour twice with 2 different companies. I like the one from Navy Pier the best. Too bad they closed FAO Swartz your boys probably would have loved going there. There IS a lego store on Michigan ave. It's pretty neat!

WOO HOO!! Single digits!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm doing the 2 week dance today!:yay::yay:

I'm in total sticker shock right now. We just had a fence company come out and give us an estimate. Holy Cow that's expensive! I was thinking it'd be about $3500 for a PVC/Vinyl fence and maybe $2,000 for cedar. NOPE Vinyl is like $6,000 and Cedar is $3500.

I think we're going to need to rethink the fence idea.:scared:

We have a really small yard- our estimate for a wood fence was 5,300~ I didnt even inquire about the vinyl. Now Wayne wants to vinyl so I think it is going to be awhile before we get the fence!!

The prices are CRAZY! Out yard isn't big either. I think we'll just skip the fence. We're going to try to sell our house again next year and we won't get our investment out of the fence by then.

8 days to go.

I need to go through the diaper bag and clean it out. I think I'll use the new Disney bag I got on Wednesday to pack the diapers in. It's a pretty big bag and should work great. Then when a lot of the diapers are gone at the end of our trip I can use it to bring our souvenirs home.

Today we're going to the Arboretum. It's free on Arbor day and I guess that's today. I'm leaving my camera at home since it's just Madeline and I. I've never been there so we'll see how it goes. It's supposed to be 80 today.

The Disney store reusable bag if perfect to hold all the misc. diapers we're bringing! Now I just need to get another pack of diapers to bring with and maybe some pull ups.

I went through and cleaned out the diaper bag. So that's another thing to check off the list.

I also went through my wallet and decided what I needed to bring- Disney Visa, Chase VIsa, AAA card, Insurance card, and D23 card (not sure if I"ll need that but you never know). I'll also need my drivers license. Thing is I really don't want to bring my big bulky wallet or my purse as I'll have enough other crap to carry around. So I might have to make a Target run to find something.

I still need to decide on what books to bring for Madeline and get her toys packed and situated.

Our pile of stuff is slowly getting larger and larger. I hope my parents pack light. :rotfl::laughing:

I decided to practice using my camera again. I wasn't happy with the last photo's I took at the zoo. It must all be in the lens becaue the ones I took this afternoon with the non kit lens are perfect. I wanted to make sure I could take amazing flower pictures. I think i"ll be able to. Now if I could just find a way to practice night/fireworks shots that would be great.

You should go pro! Those are amazing pictures. Madeline looks like a little model with her blonde hair blowing in the wind!! She is such a pretty little girl...she looks just like a precious moments doll!!!

I know I shouldn't pay any attention to the weather when I still have over a week left before I step foot into a park BUT I did. I just looked at the 10 day and Monday May 4th is showing scattered thunderstorms. YUCK!

ten days is really far out... Florida usually get our weather a day /day and half behind us. So, far for the last two to three weeks they predict rain 3/4 days ahead and then no rain or rain for one day not two like they predict. A better idea would be to watch the weather to the west but not more than three/four days in advance. WE need rain and only have been getting small amounts and they keep telling us we will get it every week.;)

love the pictures, esp.the one of Madeline in the wind...
just going back and reading what I missed before your report turns into a post trip report.
