We're not having a baby so let's go to Disney World. May 2009 PTR. We're HOME.

Make sure to all have some Chicken Noodle Soup today and drink lots of water and OJ!

I think we will. We dont' have much food in teh house but chicken soup we DO have! Madeline says she feels "fine" but her nose is dripping and her eyes are sort of glassy. No fever though and she's acting normal.

saline spray and steam always helps DS2 when he is starting... we are all having outdoor allergy fits right now. All the fresh beautiful flowers and trees are in bloom (pollen, yuk!)

Feel better!!!!Thinking of you and your crew...:hug:pixiedust:

I'm pretty much ok but I'm taking Madeline to the doc at 11:45 she started complaining about her ears. UGH we JUST got over an EI!

SO, sorry to hear about Madeline! I hope its nothing; but, at least it started before you hit the road. Maybe ped will give you something to take with you in case it turns into something on the road (hope that is not the case). Knock on wood I have not had to deal with EI since Gwendolyn; she was always sick w/EI and tonsilitis until about the first grade and tonsils removed.

sending hugs your way:grouphug: and more pixie magic pixiedust:

Hang in there!!!:flower3:

Oh no! I hope Madeline doesn't have an EI. I guess it's better to find out now and get some antibiotics before you get all the way to Disney and have to visit the emergency room.

Emily was up at 2am last night and I was worried she was getting sick, but I think it was a bad dream. She went back to sleep and is doing fine today. Phew!

I'm glad she's ok today. I was up at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30 and then just brought her into our bed and ended up watching Barney until about 3am. YAWN! I'd much rather take her in and get her ears checked then go to the ER in Orlando where there are who knows what germs!

Ok that took FOREVER but she does indeed have an ear infection. We have a follow up appointment after we get back and I think I'll ask then about tubes. We'll see.

The doc was like "it appears to just be an ear infection and not the flu" I reminded her we were going to Disney and she said she's glad that we're not flying but told us to have fun!

The office had just been sanitized before we got there. They now have a check out system for toys. You have to ask for one and then when you're done you have to give it back so they can sanitize it. Doc also said that if anyone comes in with flu symptoms they bring them immediately back to a room instead of having them sit in the waiting room.

that's good to hear about how the doc's office is handling things...
sorry to hear it is an EI... does she have them alot that you are considering tubes?
good luck!! and hope she feels better before you leave!

She had 3 EI's last winter and this is now the 2nd one in a month. The doc hasn't mentioned tubes so maybe I"ll just let it be.

just curious; does she have anything that provides a sucking motion. That motion is suppose to help with ear drainage. right off I can't think of anything that would provide that for a two yr old. Sitting here looking Ashton, nothing comes to mind (don't know if that really works or not, anyway). That is not all that many EI in her life time; just that she had 2 this month; maybe the first did not really clear up? Good luck!!!! I feel for her; I remember how much pain Gwendolyn would suffer with.
Try and have a good afternoon!

well she sucks her thumb does that count? LOL I think we caught this one REALLY early! The last one was gone because we were in the office last week for a re-check. It's this weather. hot, cold, hot, cold. So she has another cold and that always triggers the EI's for her. At least this time the cold doesn't seem too bad,, knock on wood!

Well I'm off to pack our clean underwear then I'm DONE packing!

Sorry to hear about the ear infection. It is really good you know now and not while your in Disney. She will be fine I bet by tomorrow on her meds! Plus I bet it is reassuring to have her on Antibiotics going to Disney. (I would think that could help protect her against some stuff going around) My kids both have had tubes- if you have ANY questions let me know!!! They go to a great hospital here in Boston - Mass Eye and Ear and we have a really good ENT. Myles has had 2 sets and Owen had one set so far....

It is a bit reassuring to have her on the antibiotics while we're there. Only problem is they usually cause her to have a lot more BM's while on them. That won't be too fun. Luckily she's pretty well potty trained when it comes to BM's so hopefully we won't have too many messes.

Maybe I should pack a couple more outfits for her just in case. :rotfl:

and some Desitin/Powder!!!!

TOMORROW WE'RE GOING TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have everything packed except my pillow, Madeline's potty seat and Madeline's stuffed animals.

I'm about to throw our sheets in the wash.

I've rechecked our toiletry bag 4 times (good thing I did since I forgot Eric's deoderant the first 3 times!).

Now I just have to wait for my parents to come this afternoon.

I think I'm going to skip going to get a pedicure. The next town over has a probable case of the swine flu. People that live around here aren't the brightest so I can see some idiot going to get a mani/pedi while sick. So I think I"m just going to avoid that situation. I don't want to get sick even before we go down.

Our stuff!

The only things that are missing are the computers, my pillow, Madeline's potty seat and animals.

I just checked Cave City, Kentucky's weather forcast for tomorrow and it's only going to be 65 and have scattered thunderstorms. I really hope it's not raining when we get to dinosaur world!

:cheer2:soooooo excited for you...
looks like you have alot to keep Madeline busy... I would never have thought to bring the potty seat (but he only seems vaguely interested--tells me no most of the time)
have a great trip:car:and have lots and lots of fun at WDW pixiedust:
