We're late for a very important date May 2013 TR Updated 5/17 New TR started!

That is great that you were able to make it to EPCOT for a ride on Soarin' - PHEW, just under the wire!

Love the International Gateway! The only time I have seen a wait there is at park opening.

Sounds like a really nice ending to your evening.

We had a similar experience rider swapping Soarin' right before park close. Glad it worked out for you!

And, yeah, the Friendship Boats are slow - I walked the route faster. :rotfl2:

I'm seriously considering a lunch for Sci Fi on our next trip. Gavin was so little when we went that it wasn't a big deal. He was self feeding off his tray. Maybe if you had a baby or toddler you actually had to feed it might be a little awkward. You could always request one of the regular tables in the back.
Huh, I just now realized that you had a tray on your high chair. Maybe they have a limited supply of those, because neither of ours had one - that would have been really nice!

How great that you not only got to make sure you rode Soarin' but that you got on the last ride of the night! That's pretty good timing. :thumbsup2

Glad you got to ride Soarin'! I know I'm in the minority but I LOVE the friendship boats!

Those Friendship Boats are nice and relaxing, but I agree, they take too long! I guess if you're looking for a nice break from the parks they are convienent, but if you're just hopping from park to park I wouldn't recommend it.

Glad you made it on the last ride of Soarin' for the night! That would have been terrible to have waited so long with a fussy baby just to miss it at the last second. :(

I agree, they are nice and relaxing but just a little too slow for my taste. I probably wouldn't have noticed the amount of time it took before Gavin was born though.

I would've been so upset if I missed riding it but I was super happy that my brother got too. Some things I feel like Daniel and I hyped up A LOT before we left and I was not okay with him coming to Disney and missing Soarin'!

Great update! I'm definitely looking forward to riding Soarin' again.

We are planning on using the Friendship Boats to leave Epcot and head over to our ADR at Beaches and Cream. I know it might be easier/quicker to walk but I think the boat ride will be a nice way to relax for a bit. After our lunch we might walk back...might help digest our lunch a bit :)

Soarin' is my favorite ride at Disney. Don't get me wrong, the boat ride was nice and relaxing I guess I was just impatient since it was getting late. Next time I will enjoy the ride more. That sounds perfect! I think a walk is a must after Beaches and Cream :rotfl2:

I was so glad we made it! I really love the International Gateway too. I cannot believe that was my first time there although I have been to the Boardwalk two other times before that

I hope your before park close Soarin' sway went well too!
Well at least next time I'll know it's about 30 minutes. It wasn't bad, I guess I was just impatient since it was getting late.

Huh, I just now realized that you had a tray on your high chair. Maybe they have a limited supply of those, because neither of ours had one - that would have been really nice!

Hmm that's weird that you didn't get a tray!

It was definitely good timing. It was a little weird not having anyone behind us in line though!

Glad you got to ride Soarin'! I know I'm in the minority but I LOVE the friendship boats!

The friendship boats are nice, I guess I was just getting impatient! I'm sure they will be super convenient when I finally stay at an Epcot resort!

Nope!

They are still pretty annoying when you are staying at an EPCOT resort.

It is quicker to walk (at a quick pace) from HS to the BC, but sometimes we take the boat because we do so much walking during the day that we need to conserve energy. But the stopping at all of the resorts along the way sometimes gets annoying.

And in the summer they get really hot because the windows don't open and the airconditioning is not always operational.

So there's my rant!

WHAT AWESOME PHOTOPASS PICTURES!!!

:thumbsup2

Those pictures are just precious!! The photographer did a great job, plus with a model that cute, who could blame her for wanting to take so many pictures?

Love your Photopass pictures!! Wow, super cute! Glad she spent that time with you and Gavin.

Our early morning Crystal Palace reservation went great too and is a must-do from now on, I think.

I LOVE the pre-park ADR just for that reason - getting more time on Main St and getting the pictures in front of the castle

and those pictures with Gavin sitting on the ground are sooooo cute! That worked out so well for you!

Wow - you got a real PP photographer and she did a wonderful job with those pictures of Gavin! How special. That's like having your own photoshoot! Total score. And Gavin really IS adorable!

Love your Photopass pictures! The one of Gavin sitting on the ground is so flipping adorable! :goodvibes He looks like he's so happy to be in Disney. :rotfl:

I had to laugh at the title of this update... Having a baby along changes everything, doesn't it?!

Love love LOVE those pictures of Gavin sitting out on Main Street in front of the castle!! The ones of him turning around to watch things go by are just so precious. I would love to know what is going on in their minds when they see stuff like that! Those are definitely pictures all three of you will treasure as Gavin grows older. Oh gosh, can't you just imagine him all grown up showing his own kids?

Can't wait to see how breakfast goes!

Your pictures in front of the castle turned out incredible. :cheer2:

Thank you!

I think it became a must do for us as well. We're not doing it in May though because we couldn't get an ADR since we booked less than 3 months out. Thanks!

Wow, what an awesome start to the day. Those pictures are wonderful!

Well to be fair pre-Gavin we still we always running behind, but adding a baby to the mix just made it worse LOL. Thank you! I always wonder what is going on in his mind when he looks around - you can just see the wonder in his eyes, it's so amazing! Their little brains are just so busy! I don't want to think about him growing up. He's not allowed to date until he's 70. :)
