Haven't been back to MK since 10/06. The Transit Authority I remember was a dark ride inside a building. The people mover was called WED People Mover.
What happened to my favorite ride? The fast ride through a tunnel not the people mover.

You may be thinking of Eastern Airlines' "If You Had Wings", which featured a portion through what appeared to be a fast-moving tunnel. It is now Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

It's still the same ride. It picks up speed as it goes through the dark tunnels. Maybe that is just the only part you are remembering.

I think that you may be confusing attractions.

The "fast tunnel" used to be in "If You Had Wings."
That original "tunnel" is now a part of Buzz Lightyear.

confusing rides..that may be possible but you don't go up a ramp to get onto this ride...you enter a building and go through a large line until you get to the ride..you face forward and the rides goes very fast it isn't up in the air over tomorrow land like the wed people mover.

Still sounds most like IYHW, though it never went "very fast". IYHW was a slow-moving omnimover that gave the appearance of fast motion at certain points. What year do you remember riding it?

Yes. The Omnimover's forward motion remained slow and constant, but the films projected around the guests on the smooth white oval-shaped tunnel were showing very fast-moving scenes (such as riding inside a bobsled.)

The illusion was enhanced by fans blowing air quickly through the tunnel and across guests faces.

That very same tunnel is still in use in the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Zurg's ship is projected flying all around guests in that tunnel, and guests can freely "shoot at it" as if flits around.

Edit: Yeah I just looked it up Buzz Lightyear has been their since 98'.

The former "Wedway PeopleMover" is now called the "Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover" and operates in the same way on the same track, (through Space Mountain, with people screaming) but it now has different narration.

That's it, it hasn't changed since 2009 or even 1999. It's been a long time since it was Wedway, back into the 90's.

I still think it's the Transit Authority/People mover you may not just remember the ramp but it goes through SM and you can hear the people screaming.

Only ride that goes through space mountain is people mover and it does not dip If you had wings and future versions closed inter 90's Aside from that the only tomorrowland rides thy have closed recently are alien and time keeper. Neither ride moves

The PeopleMover/TTA or whatever you want to call it has never had any kind of "drop." It has always been powered by magnets. It is supposed to be a replica of how Walt thought people in the future would/should travel. You are definitely confusing two attractions.

Even at that, it was virtually the same attraction as the WDW MK version.
(Differently "powered" at DL as the cars were rolled on miniature Goodyear tires spun by individual motors.)


PeopleMover tracks at DL were converted for use for the ill-fated "Rocket Rods," and then, sadly, abandoned.
