*sigh*

But had so much fun! February is a great month to be in WDW (well, *any* month would be a great month, but 2 birthday celebrations and a little Valentine's Day thrown in just adds up to great!:) )

Highlights!
*Soarin'.....is just amazing.
Do it.
Be scared of heights if you have to, but just do it! :teeth:
*Lights! Motors! Action!...ahh, my fast-cars-cool-stunt-lovin' boys LOVED this! :thumbsup2
*Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom...gotta be least promoted, BEST show at all of WDW. It's truly wonderful. So many talented performers. Go!
*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...just never gets old. Great family coaster!
*Teamboat Sorings at Blizzard Beach...another great family ride, and getting soaked on a hot day is just bonus points all over :teeth:
*The Disney Photopass CD...all of your park pictures on a CD to take home...$100 of the best dollars we spent..and yes, character photos are included as well.

...and all the Birthday pixie dust and magic that got sprinkled all over our boys..they had the best birthday ever:)

Lowlights..
*Boys still weren't tall enough to do Buzz Astroblasters at DisneyQuest...why make an attraction that your target audience can't participate in? Kudos to the CM's though... they have little cards made up that give you a "front of the line" pass for your "tall enough" trip.
*Stitch's Great Escape...same issue..soooooo many crying little ones on this..it's dark, it's Stitch as Exp626, and he's not so nice....and as an attraction, we continue to give it an "ehh. Wouldn't miss it if it weren't there".

Overall...
Goin' back! The villa at Glenbrook Resort (Hwy 27) we rented was fabulous, spent a couple of days onsite at the Boardwalk Villas...car rental at Alamo was great (got a Chev Uplander with DVD - that was great!)...security lines at MCO on the way back were tremendously long..GET THERE EARLY!

We were at the airport at 5:45 for our 8am flight, and just barely made it...tip: wear easy off/on shoes, everyone has to take them off to go through security.
Missed our connecting flight home because of security delays at MCO, but thumbs up to Air Canada for
a)holding the flight in MCO for passengers stuck in security, and
b)making the re-booking connecting flights as painless as possible.

And we ate the requisite Mickey Bars for everyone:mickeybar: !! Have to find a way to get those in Canada!! LOL!

:sunny:

Welcome back!

I hadn't heard about the $100 cd thing but it sounds like a great idea. I'm sure I spent more then that for just a few pictures last year!

Welcome back! Sounds like a great trip!

Ditto on Soarin' and Festival of the Lion King! What great attractions!

Are you planning your next trip yet?? :teeth:

Is the photo cd new? Do you get all the photos taken at all the parks while you are ther? If so, that sounds like a great price. I think I paid almost $50 for just a few pics.

And the Million Dollar Question..........................

What about your Luggage!?!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry could not resist! :duck:

Welcome home...
Your list seems very similar to mine from a few weeks ago :scratchin :teeth:

...As far as Buzz's AstroBlasters...IMHO...I don't think you missed too much...looks much more fun on paper than when you are actually in the vehicles.

Hi!!!!
Glad to hear you had a great trip. Looking forward to more details.
Betcha didn't miss the snow! :lmao: :lmao:

:wave2: Welcome back to the cold north! I have been watching for your return and your trip comments! Glad to hear everyone had a great time. My favorite thing of all is the Festival of the Lion King--it's amazing! Hopefully, you will bring some of the Florida sun back to Cape Breton. It's really cold out there! ::yes::

Glad to see you had another great trip!! Sounds like you had an awesome time!!

We're staying at Glenbrook for the first part of our trip this year if you say it's great I'm sure we'll enjoy it.

I've been anxiously awaiting your report!

Welcome Back! Glad to hear that your trip was fabulous!

Welcome home Mary Beth! I'm glad you had such a wonderful time and agree totally about FOTLK, Soarin' and BTMRR! Yes, we are all wondering about your luggage, too! ;)

We also were faced with a huge line-up at MCO security at the end of January. I'd never seen it so big, but we made it through in plenty of time for our flight and could still grab a bite to eat, though not in the food court as we had planned. We were flying SWA and there were agents calling out soon-leaving flight numbers so that those people could move to the head of the line. There were also airport staff keeping things moving along.

Thanks y'all:)

Ah, Canadave, don't you know, imitation is the highest form of flattery...we really weren't at WDW, we just copied your trip report!!:teeth:

Luggage! Ha!!
Carry-ons ONLY, folks...well, on the way down, anyway!! Bought tooooo much stuff to shove inside those little roll-ons!;) *LOVE* that extra 30% off at Florida Mall with the coupon book!! And the $15 expandable suitcase at WalMart, which I think everyone else on our flight had as well! :teeth:

And how could I forget...the Best Part of The Trip!
I got to be a "Phone a Complete Stranger" on WWTBAMPI!! :woohoo:

My mom and I took the kids to The Chronicles of Narnia, while Papa (my dad) and Honey (DH!), went to try to win the cruise for us. pirate:

Of course, the trip through Narnia is waaaayy shorter than the "Show me the Money" show :hourglass ...so we ended up outside the theatre, watchin' JoJo and her pals, and sitting in the sun:sunny:

And of course, being the chatty girl I am;), made friends with the CM working the Millionaire show. She then asked if I would be willing to be the Stranger if they used that lifeline.

"Well.....SURE!"
...knowing that Papa and Honey are inside..and *maybe* one of them is on the hotseat :cloud9: (DH and I have made it to the #2, and #4 spots, respectively..*ahem* We're getting closer!)

And sure enough...she needs me! "Mark" is in the hotseat, and needs a friends help. Bill is the host, and we hit it off immediately;)

Mark...? Who's Mark?? Bill and I are making the people laugh..and Papa and Honey get their shot on the big screen :wave2: :wave2:

So once we get down to business, Mark decides my answer of "D" is just wrong, and picks "C". (Question was the original "Hollywoodland" sign was erected to promote what? Answer is D, the suburb of Hollywood! MARK!!)

So to much applause, I hang up....just too much fun!

Bill continues to ask for me throughout the rest of the show.."where's mbb?? She would know the answer to this!" "where did MBB go! We need her!!", etc, etc... :rotfl:

And then, the CM who originally asked me to be the Stranger, tells me that Bill has asked to meet me backstage after the show!!! Because, as he informs Papa and Honey, she is just "too cute"..and would "love to meet her. She made the show!"

Thanks Bill:) You made my day!

.....and then there's the story about Harley Bird, at Flights of Wonder...watch your wallets!;);)

:sunny:

Hey mbb....that was quite a story! :lmao: ...that was one memory we did not have...soooo, did you meet Bill after the show ;)
