*sigh*
But had so much fun! February is a great month to be in WDW (well, *any* month would be a great month, but 2 birthday celebrations and a little Valentine's Day thrown in just adds up to great!
)
Highlights!
*Soarin'.....is just amazing.
Do it.
Be scared of heights if you have to, but just do it!
*Lights! Motors! Action!...ahh, my fast-cars-cool-stunt-lovin' boys LOVED this!
*Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom...gotta be least promoted, BEST show at all of WDW. It's truly wonderful. So many talented performers. Go!
*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...just never gets old. Great family coaster!
*Teamboat Sorings at Blizzard Beach...another great family ride, and getting soaked on a hot day is just bonus points all over
*The Disney Photopass CD...all of your park pictures on a CD to take home...$100 of the best dollars we spent..and yes, character photos are included as well.
...and all the Birthday pixie dust and magic that got sprinkled all over our boys..they had the best birthday ever
Lowlights..
*Boys still weren't tall enough to do Buzz Astroblasters at DisneyQuest...why make an attraction that your target audience can't participate in? Kudos to the CM's though... they have little cards made up that give you a "front of the line" pass for your "tall enough" trip.
*Stitch's Great Escape...same issue..soooooo many crying little ones on this..it's dark, it's Stitch as Exp626, and he's not so nice....and as an attraction, we continue to give it an "ehh. Wouldn't miss it if it weren't there".
Overall...
Goin' back! The villa at Glenbrook Resort (Hwy 27) we rented was fabulous, spent a couple of days onsite at the Boardwalk Villas...car rental at Alamo was great (got a Chev Uplander with DVD - that was great!)...security lines at MCO on the way back were tremendously long..GET THERE EARLY!
We were at the airport at 5:45 for our 8am flight, and just barely made it...tip: wear easy off/on shoes, everyone has to take them off to go through security.
Missed our connecting flight home because of security delays at MCO, but thumbs up to Air Canada for
a)holding the flight in MCO for passengers stuck in security, and
b)making the re-booking connecting flights as painless as possible.
And we ate the requisite Mickey Bars for everyone
: !! Have to find a way to get those in Canada!! LOL!
