We're hom..when does the rocking stop??!! ;)

I experienced it on both cruises but with a difference. On the first cruise (Oct 2002) I was on antibiotics the first few days due to a bad URI before we left (to the point where I was hoarse when speaking and coughing my head off). The first port (Key West) I felt REALLY weird - I felt like I was on the ship while walking around.

By the end of the cruise, I was fine and felt no rocking at all when we got off (just extreme longing to be on the ship)

On our 2nd cruise (Nov 2003) I felt fine at every port and experienced the rocking only after I got home. I spent a WEEK feeling odd and standing in my co-worker's office saying "something isn't right, I'm still rocking" before I went to the dr. and discovered I had an URI again. I always get them in the fall (change of seasons, dead leaves and such) and usually need one dose of antibiotics to clear them up. So both times for me, it was sickness-related.

Honestly, I enjoyed it (how's that for a sick thrill?)! Nothing beats being on the cruise and if it takes rocking on solid land to take you back, so be it!

I'm always fine on the ship, I think after surviving Hurricane Andrew on the Big Red Boat back in '92, I can deal with just about everything, my land legs are a little more reluctant to come back though. I usually take Bonine for 2 or 3 days after- I also have to take it days in port to. I get so used to the rocking of the ship that I feel a little queasy on the islands. Does this happen to anyone else?

1 month from now I'll be in Hawaii! One month from tomorrow I board the Norwegian Wind for 10 days! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
