Hello everyone,
Well, after picking up hubby from work, we made our way west on I-4 from Daytona to Orlando. We drove into POR at about 6:30PM and checked in. There were no kings left, but that was fine. Got a nice courtyard view with a fountain at "The Oaks" building, ground floor, and near bridge for main building and everything fun!! By the way it saved us some $$. Instead of $116 a night, we are only paying $89 a night. More $$ for birthday presents!! LOL
After getting into our room, hubby showered and got ready, and we headed to A.S.S. for pin trading. (I made 6 pin trades before leaving resort) There weren't near as many people as we've seen in the past. But it was kinda nice, and relaxed. I traded for some fun pins, and a nice 50th Walt's Footsteps tour pin from DL. Love it! We left A.S.S. at a little after 10 and headed back to POR. Dropped of pins and walked over to Foot court for a little smackeral of something. We saw one of the horse drawn carriages. That looks so cool. I told hubby I want to do that this weekend. We'll see. The walk over was so pretty. All quiet too.
We had a nice cup of coffee and a piece of carrot cake. YUM!! Have to eat your veggies...LOL!
We are going to breakfast hopefully at Boatwrights. Never ate there, and love eggs benedict. Then we're off towards EPCOT with lunch at Rose & Crown. We're gonna stop by the Yacht Club and see Captain Bob who I found out last weekend is back working 2 days a week. He "retired" last year, but just couldn't stay away. He is the sweetest man you'll ever meet.
After that... well, I'll tell ya later after we do it. Don't wanna give you the whole story in case it changes.LOL!
More later!
Blessings,
Winnie
